“Brilliant hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

We arrived here on the 9th May 2014. We were so impressed with the look of the hotel, it had a very big reception with sofa's where you can sit on use the WIFI. We were shown to our room but did have a problem with trying to figure out how to open the door with the cards they gave us. It can be very confusing. Also we did not get told that you have to put the card into a slot by the door for the electric to work.. So don't forget to take your card out the slot when you are leaving else you won't be able to get back in your room! We did this a couple of times and had to go to reception to get another card.

The staff are amazing, they are so friendly and happy and always making people laugh.. Such lovely people to be around and really make your holiday that little bit better! The pool is really nice, lots of sunbeds to lie on and a really nice bar if you want refreshing drinks.

I was so pleased with the room, it was big and spacious and had everything we needed. If you can get a pool-view room as the rooms over looking the road are extremely noisy. We had one looking over the road and it was so so noisy all through the night and it does make it hard to sleep so get a pool-view room or one away from the road it is really worth it.

The breakfast is average, but there is lots to choose from. Frankies bar next door is really good for evening meals, but a bit expensive. But there is so many resturants in the area that you don't have to eat there! Tommys bar at the corner of the road is also really good in the day and the evening too.

I would stay here again, it is a brilliant hotel with brilliant staff!

Room Tip: Get one overlooking the pool, the ones overlooking the road are extremely noisy.

Stayed here last week with 6 close friends and there aren't many negative things to say. The rooms were clean and had good facilities- for example we were provided with a toaster and kettle unlike many of our friends. The pool was also great as well as the location, only a five minute walk from the strip and considering we were there for a drinking holiday this was ideal. However the nearest beach is not very nice and you have to get a taxi to nissi which would be problematic for families. Reception staff were mixed and some were just downright miserable, others were lovely. Overall great stay, if your doing a drinking holiday wouldn't recommend breakfast as it finished at 1030 and none of us managed to get up enough to warrant 12 euros a day.
Tips: reps over hype everything, went mayhem and kandi both good but you can't get drunk as easily as they suggest and they leave out the negatives ie for kandi you have to go to a waterpark for 2 hrs with no drink just sitting around and then queue for an hour to get on the beach. Queuing for the free drinks is also a nightmare. Bar crawl was fun but you only get free sips of stuff here and there. So be careful when dealing with reps. Castle is best club, starskys is awful but carwash is also good. 2 euro balloons at the pizza stand at the beginning of the steps leading to the strip.

What a wonderful hotel. Very clean unlike other holiday apartments.
We had a studio room which had two single beds, beautiful bathroom but had no bath and a modern kitchenette with plates, pots and pans basically everything you needed including glasses. Staff fab especially John, Michalis and the head waiter an older gentleman. Female staff not very smiley but all attentive, friendly and strive to make your holiday enjoyable.

The strip (clubs and bars) is about a 5 minute walk if you turn right from the hotel entrance, take the first right again and walk past the church on your right.

The food was excellent. Breakfast has a mix of cereals, cooked english and continental as well.
Dinner is also a buffet but they have themed nights such as italian or bbq they even had live entertainment. Can not comment on lunch as was half board.

Ate at Frankie's which is not part of the hotel although attached. Service awful but food is decent.

Pool area is lovely it closes around 6 or 7 in the evening when the sun goes down. Sun beds clean and comfortable. Drinks are served in plastic cups which I guess is due health and safety.
Staff also hand out wet clean flannels to help with the heat.

There is the hotel supermarket left to the hotel pool bar area. Hotel guests get 5% off bring the voucher your given or show your key card. Reasonably priced though.

Nissi beach beautiful a good half an hour walk from the hotel. Turn right from the entrance and keep walking straight. A quieter beach is left of the entrance and right down a long road but still is lovely.

TIP: ask reception for a wifi code they will give you a slip of paper with a code. We found it worked best on the balcony in room 227.

All in all would DEFIANTLY recommend this accommodation and will return!

Only thing reception doesn't speak much english. If you book with Thomson who are useless theres an information guide to the right of the reception desk telling you when your rep arrives, things to do and time your coach takes you to the airport.

Myself and three of my best girlfriends staying in Melpo for five days. We were first apprehensive that the rooms would not quite match up to the impeccable photos displayed on the website, but we were not disappointed, we had a pool view, fully air-conditioned room set with plates, glasses, pans, cutlery and a fridge freezer. The wi-fi is awful but didn't bother us because we didn't use it. The cleaning service was also very good, beds and towels changed every day, although the mop they used smells of egg and BO (they really need to change this). The hotel is situated really well, close to the strip, but far enough away to not hear the music. The night staff (we nicknamed Scrooge) were very rude and threatening, I appreciate the fact there are other families staying at the hotel but there are better ways of going about asking people to be quiet, storming into the room using their own key and pointing fingers in peoples faces is unacceptable. Overall it was a great stay and the pool was amazing (the cold towels flung on your backs by the staff was an extra bonus). Also when pre drinking, try shutting the curtains so that scrooge can't see you on your balcony.

Room Tip: ask for a poolside view

Myself and three girl friends stayed at the Melpo Antia Hotel for a week in June, traveling from Larnaca airport it is a very short transfer of around half an hour. Perfect location for party goers as located at the bottom of the strip and a mere 5 minute walk from the square, but far enough away that you can't hear a thing from the hotel rooms! The hotel itself was very clean and very modern, rooms were nicely sized and big shower space. Beds made everyday and towels changed as often as we liked, poolside towels also provided which was a nice surprise! Nicely sized pool and no problems at all with sun loungers, always enough for all the guests. Food at the pool bar was amazing, we ate out a few times in the week but found that the hotel food was the best around. The only let down was the staff, we found the night staff to be extremely rude to young groups of people making their way to and from the strip. Wifi is also very weak, not in bedrooms at all only available at the lobby and even then very slow! Overall a great hotel with a great price, it's a shame the staff weren't more accommodating and friendly!

My wife and I spent two weeks in this first ultra modern hotel, right in the centre of Ayia nappa, it was perfectly situated for Restaurants and shops and not far away from the famous night life spot, (although as we are senior citizens we did not participate.) We had a fully air conditioned studio apartment complete with refrigerator and safe it also had double glazing so we had no noise.
