If you think that all the towns and cities along the Norwegian coast look the same, you're not alone. That's not to say that the scenery isn't stunning (it is) and the people aren't unreservedly friendly (they are), but all the touristy shops sell the same stuff, mostly gaudy tat. The Artico Icebar in Honningsvag made a refreshing change from all that with a gift shop that actually sold something different, and at prices that didn't have you reaching instantaneously for the defibrillator; as with the ice bars in other Scandinavian cities, you could pay to be kitted out in thermals and step into the frozen interior for a drink from a 'glass' made of ice, but there was a lengthy queue for that, so we passed. However, the gift shop was great!
