“Yes, stay here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

Michael is a wonderful host with spot-on recommendations for restaurants, wineries and activities. The suite we had was spacious, really a 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchenette. Great area for cycling, relaxation and sightseeing numerous hill towns in Umbria.

Our first stay in Bevagna and what a way to start off our trip. Michael, the owner, was very welcoming and we loved his morning breakfast delivery. We had a family room which was very spacious. The pool area was small but completely enjoyable. Great location!

Excellent location for those who want to enjoy beautiful landscapes together with magnificent views of the ancient town. Rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious. Two points of improvement: it's a bit difficult to find the hotel ( navigation could be modernized), the wine bar is required!!!!!

Best to Michael,
Maxim
P.S. just to clarify there is 1 open pool..

Compared to the usual rooms of Europe, these are huge! Complete with a little sitting room with a cupboard and buffet, a little table and a couch, we were very comfortable and relaxed during our stay in Bevagna. Michele, the owner, is just as friendly as can be, chatting about his childhood in Naples and our friends who had recommended his inn. We loved the daily breakfast, the evening dips in the pool and convenient location for a stroll into town for dinner. We'd stay there again, though I felt like 120 Euro was a bit steep. Still, a lovely place and very friendly service! Also, despite some other reviews regarding internet difficulties, we were able to use WiFi with no problems, which was great for calling the family and doing a bit of work.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room #4, upstairs, which had a great view of the pool and the grounds. It was very spa...

Michael the owner was lovely, a real character.

The rooms were lovely. wwe had a large beautiful bathroom, bedroom and a small living room with a kitchenette for cooking. It was only a few minutes’ walk from the village and the view was spectacular.

Breakfast was delivered to your door every morning

I definitely would go back there and use it as a base to travel around Umbria

I was travelling with my 20-year-old daughter and as we didn't want to share a double bed and twin rooms are hard to find in Italy, this was perfect. The suites give you a double bedroom and a sitting room with a sofabed. So we slept in a room each. The bathroom was excellent - big, modern and with a powerful shower.

Michele, the owner, couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. His restaurant recommendations were very good. Being sited just outside Bevagna's town walls gives you the best of both worlds: you can walk into town in five minutes and you can cool off in the pool when you get back. This was extremely welcome as we were there during a heatwave, and we would return from sightseeing wilting from the heat.

Breakfast is brought to you in your room. The croissants were deliciously fresh, but the fruit was a bit unripe - odd for this part of the country and time of year. My only other complaint was that the wifi didn't work in our room and I had to stand outside in the garden with my iPad to get online. However, Michele tried to get it fixed while we were there and was let down by the engineer failing to show up.

Bevagna is deliciously unspoilt and is also perfect for daytrips to Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, Spello, Montefalco etc. I'd definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for the room that used once to be the pighouse (!) as you won't be disturbed by noise either...

Our host Michael presented our accommodation with five star excellence! We wished we were staying longer. The location was perfect and so pictureque. The grounds of the hotel were just amazing and spacious. The unit itself was large and the breakfast to our door each morning was superb. We cannot fault this accommodation and would love the chance to go back again sometime. Thankyou Michael for your wonderful hospitality to us and our friends Joe and Diana.
