We stayed at Hotel Carosello to try to do research on my wife's family who lived in nearby Faiano. It wasn't our first option but was the closest to where we needed to be.
The hotel was probably built in the late 50's/early 60's and is done in a very contemporary look. The elevator is old and the hotel has a little bit of a stale smoke smell from the bar area in the lobby, where there's also a restaurant that is not just reasonable but very inexpensive. They definitely cater to a business crowd that travel in/out to the area. The rooms were clean but needed some upgrading, especially in the bathrooms. The hardware in the bath was all brass and had oxidized over the years, leaving a nice green patina on faucet handles and faucet. It was quiet and the air conditioner did work very well as it was quite warm during our stay.
The staff was helpful to us in finding family and did all they could to make our brief stay comfortable. We left 2 days early as our business there was complete and it was not an area that tourists would want to stay to sightsee in the area.
For a quick one night stay on the way to somewhere else, it'd be just fine.
