“No place nicer on a sunny day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

This is a great haunt on a summers day, relax outside with a cold drink and delicious plate of food or take shelter indoors and you will not be disappointed.

“Wow....a must do when in the Galway area.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013 via mobile

Went on a recommend from a conversation with a local in a high street bar in Galway.
If you don't know about this place you never will, it's a hidden gem.

Anything on the menu is great, a little pricy but with top food, chilled wine and a glass of Guinness lookin out over the river in the sunshine this is heaven.
Met a lovely couple Ronan and Lisa from Dublin a couple of real foodies who walked 40mins from the main road just to get there....yes it's that good,
Hope to meet them again sometime on a return trip......we will be back.

“Very good, as always”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

A great setting beside the water, though flies can be a bit of a problem on warm days - not too many of those days in Galway though. The food is fantastic, as long as you like fish and seafood. Sure, it's a little pricey on some levels, but you really do get what you pay for. Treat yourself.

“Moran's”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Off of the main road but good signage pointing us in the right direction. My folks ate here 18 years ago and we were happy to see it still in business. Oysters and mussels for dinner - both very tasty. Service was good but we never had the same server for more than 5 minutes which seemed a little odd.

“little piece of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

When I lived in Ireland I was a regular visitor to Morans of the Weir. I have to say I love this restaurant and always found it to be of highest quality. I still long for the Friday night treat of going to Morans and having garlic crab claws by the open fire. The staff are extremely nice and very helpful. They are well suited to the restaurant. I also love the attention to deatail and if they can make your stay more pleasent then they will. I cannot speak highly enough of Morans and if I could I would charter a plane there every Friday night for my weekly treat.
