“Rise Resort Noosa - great apartments”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2009

Booked a 3 bedroom apartment for 3 nights with family and friends, from 21 Jan 2009. Apartment was clean and modern, ours had 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. Friendly service at check-in. This complex is built on a hillside with apartment blocks on 3 levels. Ours was on the top level. To get to our front door required a combination of lift and steps, which is a bit strange. However once inside, the apartment is spacious and has a large balcony with views over Laguna Bay and Noosa River. Some of the lower apartments would not have the same views. The living areas were on the entry level with the bedrooms downstairs. The stairs were steep and narrrow and we had to take care not to get them wet (e.g. if coming in after a swim) because they were treacherously slippery when wet. Not a smart idea really for stairs. But apart from that I thought the apartment was lovely, with a big screen tv in lounge and a second tv plus a spa bath in main bedroom. The walk down the hill to Hastings St is easy, takes about 5 mins. And, contrary to some reviews, is not steep coming back. Uphill yes, but not steep. If you can manage the stairs to your apartment then the walk up from Hastings St is no problem. Overall, a very impressive, well-run complex. Would stay again.

We stayed here for 4 nights and found our 2-bedrm apartment to be dirty and the surrounding areas generally lacking any TLC. There was an ants nest in the kitchen, the showers were filthy, there was a dessicated gekko on the bathroom floor, weeds were growing between the paving slabs, there was sand all over the bottom of the pool ... etc.

The apartment was not serviced and for the price it really should have been.

Management are only on site part-time and if there's a problem after hours you're pretty much on your own.

Whilst the layout and design of the complex is very 'Sebel-esque', that's where the similarity ends.

Our party of 6 booked a 3 bedroom apartment in the style of a town house. The apartment is new & modern & we were very happy when we arrived. We booked three double rooms which was confirmed with the owners, however, when we checked the rooms we found one with two singles, I requested management to make it into a double but was told they can't do it. I said I was happy to push the beds together if they could provide double sheets but they refused? This made it difficult as we were all couples & it was a week, not just a couple of days sliding in between the beds.
Apart from this the apartment was lovely, we had a nice view of the beach & coastline. We were surprised to find there was no BBQ on the balcony despite other properties do, I never realised when booking that practicurly all the apartments are privately owned so each apartment can vary greatly with appliances, decor etc.. be careful of this when booking as we were sent photos of the property & it was nothing like the photo. There was also no communal BBQ so our plan of a seafood BBQ on NYE got cancelled.
As previously mentioned in other postings the pool is tiny, we found it tended to be packed with kids in the late arfternoon so tended to get there just before. The cleanliness of the pool & toilets were not too good but I'm putting that down to it being the Christmas period & perhaps the cleaner was taking some time off?
All in all we had a nice time but definitely think there are better places out there to stay, we paid a higher premium because it was the New Year period however, i still do not believe it was worth the money.

COMFORTABLE MODERN SERVICED APARTMENTS.
We stayed there only for a couple of days. Apartments are comfortable furnished, very roomy, lovely decor, new furniture. Full kitchen.
Good location - 10 min hilly slow stroll to the beach.
Pool is quite small.
Outlook not the best but roomy modern decor makes up for it.
If you want the room - good choice; if you want location and facilities - stay in the Sheraton.
Good luck!

We have just returned from 3 days staying at Rise Appartments Noosa.
This place is Awesome... Me and my fience stayed in appartment 12 which overlooked the beach at Noosa.
It was aprox a 5-10 min walk downtown to Hastings street (up hill on the way back, good to walk off dinner)
The main living room/dining area was huge. The Kitchen was modern with all the bits and pieces that you need.
Downstairs was the main bedroom, the only neg was that there was no Plasma/Tv in the bed room. The bathroom was really big bright and roomy with a double shower and a spa bath in it.
The pool in the complex was really nice but it was a bit to cold to use it.
As far as self catered appartments are concerned these were fantastic. We would definetly both be back to stay again.

My boyfriend and I flew into Brisbane for a long weekend, hired a car and drove to Noosa, we wanted a nice apartment or hotel room for a couple of days before heading back to Brisbane.

We booked through wotif.com and managed to get an apartment at a really good rate although we had no views and were infront of the pool (which might be a problem in summer, with noise).

When checking in we were told that you are more likely to get the views if you book through their website direct, but I imgine it would be more expensive. Management was lovely, they even gave us a voucher to go to the restaurant next door, buy a meal get one free, all in all they were very helpful.

The room was hugh and had a fantastic European kitchen, double shower, spa bath. The apartment was also very clean. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there but we really enjoyed sitting on the couches and watching Foxtel!

Only downside is in an apartment and they don't replenish your laundry daily.

  • Liked — The size of the room and that it was modern
  • Disliked — That there weren't clean towels each day.

Stayed for 2 weeks in Jun '06. Great sized apartments, but expensive considering it is a 10/15 min walk to the beach...uphill on the way back! Onsite mangement was poor, cost was AUD 275 per week....I understand new management has taken over, and prices are now AUD 400 per week, although some sensible owners have them listed independently for around 250 AUD/week. Overall - disapointing, as they would be great budget priced apartments if only they were priced at the correct entry level - plenty of availabilty now due to their rich pricing.
