“The Emerald is our Little Aussie Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2010

After reading some of the mixed reviews, I took a gamble on The Emerald. As soon as I made the booking I knew I had made the right decision. The lady in the reception was friendly and alleviated any doubts that I had about the place.
As soon as we arrived we were in paradise, the proximity of the beach and the shops of Hasting street what more could you want? Our appartment was more than we imagined, it was spacious with all the modern conveniences required to self cater if thats what you are looking for. We had a large balcony area that looked out onto the river/ car park that was serene and surprisingly peaceful at night times.
Our holiday experience was made ideal by the friendliness and good old Australian Hospitality shown by the staff and in particular the night receptionist. She was very accomodating to our needs and did so with rapid response. She also had good knowledge of Hasting Street and where to eat or go out, as well as setting up sight seeing tours to Australia Zoo and bus trips into Maroochydore Sunshine Plaza. She was our li'll Aussie Gem as she went far beyond the call of duty to ensure that our holiday was a memorable experience. That special little touch is what has set The Emerald apart from anywhere I have stayed in the world and will definitely bring me and family back from the UK each year.
Nice One!

“Tired looking, needs updating”

We thought the Emerald Noosa would be nicer than it was. Carpet was stained, appliances were really old, there was visible mould on the airconditioner vents, pool was tiny and not too clean. The bathrooms need updating too. The elevator to get up to the apartments felt quite unsafe at times. Although the location was convenient being on Hastings st, the noise was quite bad at times and often woke us up in the morning when you're trying to sleep in.

We checked out other places on Hastings st - The Hastings was very affordable and although facilities were basic, it was cleaner than the Emerald. Also had a more holiday feel to them as they are individual 3 storey bungalow style villas. Quieter too

- Number two Saks on Hastings st was also in the same price range, but had much better furniture, decor and appliances. It was much quieter too.

“Thank you for helping to make such a great Noosa experience.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2010

My husband organised for our 2 boys, my mother-in-law and myself to stay in a penthouse apartment for my 40th birthday. Some of the other guests for my party, which we had at a local bar/restaurant, also stayed in other apartments. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from management and, again, throughout our stay.

The apartments are fully self-contained and the penthouse had as much interior space as it did exterior - area to lounge around a private pool, sunning ourselves and watching the spectacular Noosa sunset from the decks. The other apartments, all different in their decor, were just as pleasant. It was rare to see other guests in lifts even though it was during the June school holidays. This made a nice peaceful retreat from the humming vibe of Hastings Street. It also meant that I wasn't as concerned as I have been on other holidays of my rough-and-tumble boys disturbing other guests - this was a real 'plus' for me!

The Emerald is centrally located on the Street with easy access to all modes of transportation including buses, taxis' and plenty of personal and secured parking for your own vehicle.

We found the management to be very friendly and accommodating especially given that there were a number of people in our 'party' - nothing seemed too much trouble to ask and our afternoon pool gatherings were well-tolerated (we were very mindful not to make too much noise).

“Great Location, Gret Price!”

Stayed here for 5 nights last week with my boyfriend, mum and aunt. We had the best time!

We were a little hesitant about booking this property having read some previous reviews. We need not have worried as all the construction work has been finished and the 2 bedroom apartment (number 37) we had was lovely.

You couldn't get a better location for the price - you step out directly on to Hastings street and just cross the road to get to the beach.

All staff that we came into contact with were lovely and very helpful. The outdoor areas are very pretty with well kept gardens and the pool/spa/sauna areas are nice.

The kitchen in our apartment was great, with everything you could possibly need! The balcony could do with a little updating but you get what you pay for. All rooms in the apartment were clean and modern and the beds were very comfortable :-)

Also had a peek in number 39 which is a 3 bed apartment - it would be suitable for families as only has bunkbeds in bedroom 3. The 2 bedroom apartment has a sofa bed so could sleep 6 if needed...

Feel free to e-mail me with any questions and bear in mind that those negative reviews were written some time ago now!

I found the Emerald Noosa everything you would expect for a stay on the busy Hastings Street, close to everything including the shops and great restaurants and the accommodation was ideal. The team we spoke to on occasion were very helpful and friendly. What can I say, we'll be back!
