“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2007

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 nights with our 3 month old baby & 2yr old. Our apartment was on the ground floor but there is lift access for those with strollers/buggies. The location is suburb, up on a hill toward the Lookout above Hasting St. It is a steep 5-10 minute walk down/up to Hasting St (lots of steps) or a slightly longer walk down the road (stroller friendly).

Our apartment was largely and exceptionally well furnished, including a very large flat wide-screen LCD. It was very clean.

Reception staff were helpful and attentive to our needs.

Would definitely stay here agian

We stayed at The Lookout for one week and were put in Room 17 (Glynnis' favourite apartment!). The views were right across the bay and out to sea, and the sun sets were amazing. Definately worth the extra of paying for a sea view. The apartment was lovely and spacious
and had every mod con that you could ask for. We ate in nearly every night and had a communal BBQ area with everything supplied which was great. My two children aged 17 and 12 loved the beach. The local supermarket was huge and lots of tourist shopping for those who wanted them. We did a day trip to Australia Zoo which was a highlight
of the holiday. We also did a day trip to Fraser Island - which took nearly 12 hours and we travelled over 340km. Great day, but would have been better doing it from Hervey Bay as bumping for hours through forests with nothing to see other than very tall trees and then speeding along the sand on the beach can get rather boring. The only negative which didn't really bother us was that the swimming
pool was not big enough to do serious swimming in, but was great for cooling down and the jaccuzzi was great.

  • Liked — views and space
  • Disliked — small swimming pool

We stayed at the Lookout for six nights at the end of a 2 month tour and found the location very quiet and relaxing - just what we needed.

The Managers, Glynis & Derek, were very welcoming and helpful.

The luxury apartments were as described - spacious and fully equipped - a real bonus.

A short walk down the hill or through the rainforest path to shops, restaurants and a delightful beach.

A very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Would thoroughly recommend the Lookout Resort

Stayed at the Lookout during Christmas and New Year and what a delight!

I felt like a millionaire during my stay, in the most fantastic accomodation and surroundings.

From the beautiful pool set in lush tropical rainforest to the beautiful views and the beautiful laid out appartment.

A big thank you to Derek and Glynis for ensuring that my first trip to Australia was a most memorable and enjoyable one - I can assure you I will return as soon as I can.

Our room on Lookout Resort (unit 5) was very well maintained just like a boutique apartment . The place was so big it could easily fit another 2 couples, although there were no beds for them. (see photos)

It's a nice place to stay for a week or two and have some friends for food and drinks late at night. A full kitchen apparatus is included (cutlery, pans, electrical goods, dishwasher and a nice sized fridge). DVD, sound system on the living room and a TV bedroom completes the amenities, I almost felt like home. Gym facilities aren't exactly nice, only the complete gym wacko would want to workout in a room without a window and only a few old, but well-maintained, aparatus.

Location is good if you have a car, otherwise it's probably a 10-15 minute walk down the hill to get to Noosa main beach and trendy shops. There's a bottle shop just 1/2 a block away that stays open until late.

If you plan to go with friends (another couple for instance) I would definitively recommend this place, as sharing the costs makes it really cost-effective, and you can then fully enjoy the benefits of the huge flat.
Otherwise I would just choose something simpler and closer to the shops, or perhaps at Noosa Heads where prices tend to be cheaper.

We were completely delighted. Our room was gorgeous; the managers, Derek and Glynis, were very helpful and welcoming. The location was part way up the hill, a 5 minute walk to the beach, but the quiet, secluded environment more than made up for that.

Our family stayed here for 5 nights in a 1st floor ocean view apartment and we were made very welcome by the owners in every way possible. The apartments are just as described and on the first floor we had great views. Quieter than being on the main street but with easy access to everything in Noosa Heads. Thoroughly recommended.
