“Perfect romantic getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

Absolutely loved staying at Lake Weyba Cottages. We stayed in cottage number two and everything was just perfect, I haven't stopped raving about it to my friends. The owners have just thought of absolutely everything to make the stay comfortable, all the little extras and niceties are included. The cottage was lovely and comfortable and actually a fairly spacious size. Perfect view out to the gardens and lake. We made good use of the in room spa, fire place, BBQ and had fun trying out the provided canoes and fishing rods and board games. The place and grounds are kept immaculate, it was obvious that it was a real labour of love for the owners. Would definately stay there again and very much hope that will be sometime soon.

Lake Weyba Cottages are an amazing place to stay any time of year, particularly in winter when you can make the most of the sunny days on the lake and cosy up by the fire at night. One of the few beautiful and dog friendly holiday options, we have visited twice now and will certainly be back!

There are canoes, mountain bikes, fishing rods and bait, DVDs and books all available to guests at no extra cost. I highly recommend getting the full package with wine and tapas plate on arrival as well as a goody bag, robes and slippers. The breakfast platters are great too – we loved cooking up the traditional platter on the overlooking the water in the morning. Our dog LOVED starring out at all the kangaroos too! We also tried out the local café one morning for brekkie which was great (and dog friendly). All in all, a wonderful place to stay and an absolute must for anyone who likes to holiday with their dog!

Room Tip: All lovely! Cottage number 7 has a beautiful outlook and is very private!

The location, facilities and accommodation were excellent. The fact dogs were welcome was even better, so the whole family got to enjoy the holiday. All of us said it was one of the best holidays we've ever had - and we've had quite a few great holidays. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This place is perfect! I do not understand some of the negative reviews on here at all. We arrived to a beautiful property with green grass, ponds, kangaroos, ducks, geese, birds, horses and then our private cottage! Everything was delightful and our hosts were very friendly!. It was very clean, the bbq breakfast pack was amazing and everything was close by! 5-10 minutes to the beach. We had such an amazing yet relaxing time and Can't wait to come back again :).

We stayed in the 2bedroom cottage and it was very roomy!!

Also if you are looking for a gluten free/ vegetarian/organic cafe, There is a place called "Embellish" at Perigian and it was awesome. Just as a heads up for anyone with dietry requirements.

Room Tip: 2 bedroom was fantastic!

Comfortable cabin nestled in a delightful setting with convivial hosts. Unfortunately we did not see the surrounds at their best due to the inclement weather, we still had an enjoyable three night stay. A short drive to the Eumundi markets, Noosa and the Pitchfork Restaurant at Peregian. Highly recommended, but try not to pick a weekend with a cyclone around

We chose Lake Weyba Cottages for their elopement package they offer. They assisted with all the finer details, not only the accommodation, but in organising the celebrant, and photographer. It made organising our ceremony hassle free (the way we wanted it to be).
The facilities within the cottages were great, whilst we did not try out the other things they have on offer at the cottages, canoeing, hiking, bike riding, I was impressed they had it all on offer. The grounds were beautiful and the abundant wildlife and surrounds really made it feel like a getaway.
The package included massages, and dinner provided in the cottage. I have to say that everyone that Lake Weyba deal with are of a high professional standard!.
The massages were great, and a fabulous way to relax before or special day.
The dinner provided was of the highest quality and the chef was great.
The other provided meals that we had was breakfast, that was also of a high standard.
The staff that dealt with the booking, payment and checkin, were great with communicating backward and forward in a timely and professional manner surrounding our needs and requirements.
Overall, we had a fabulous stay and marriage ceremony. If there was anyone thinking of eloping, I would definitely recommend lake weyba cottages!.

We enjoyed our holiday in The Pavilion, a large, modern cottage with incredible views. However, I would suggest adding a better selection of kitchen utensils for those of us who love doing our own cooking. The kitchen lacked many necessary items such as potholders, serving trays, spatulas, baking dishes, and baking pans. A better selection of non stick pans would have been nice along with better knives. Also the oven and espresso machine were difficult to use and did not have clear instructions. Also, half of the DVDs we borrowed did not work in our DVD player. Seeing the wildlife outside each day was brilliant!
