“Great location, dated hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

The location of the resort is fantastic. We stayed in a one bedroom deluxe. We thought by paying a bit extra we would get a really nice room, well it was just ok. The room was quite small, the bathroom was very dated and quite grubby, and is in serious need of an upgrade. The pool area is very nice and well suited for families. Overall our stay was ok, but probably wouldn't stay here again.

I booked a one bed 'DELUXE' APARTMENT for 2 nights for a quiet weekend break and to celebrate my husbands birthday. On arrival we checked in with a pleasant receptionist who explained parking, location etc. The apartment initlally appeared tired and worn which was surprising as i understood these rooms had been refurbished. Then on checking the rooms we found various unsavioury things, such as dead flies and insects on the window ledges, flying insects, ?mites, filthy mouldy broken patio blinds, dirty stained carpet and sofa, dirty soiled room divider track, and body hair on the toilet basin. On complaining and asking for another room, a receptionist came to the room armed with a cloth and spray!!! This apartment needed fumigating, not a quick spray.. On a lengthy argument with a receptionist, and insisting to speak to the manager it was agreed a full refund would be given, but not back onto my credit card ??? I now have to wait until next week for my money back. Not a happy person, this spoilt our weekend away, took 4 hours traveling and couldn't get into anywhere else as most where closed or fully booked out....Extremely disappointed.....

We stayed in August for a family function with other members of our family in neighbouring rooms.
Rooms were clean and tidy, although not very large. Everything worked well and we overlooked a lovely pool area. Pool was heated but was still to cold to swim in.
Walk to beach and Hastings St, and short drive to a Woolies. No restaurant, so bring your own breakfast. Staff were very helpful and placed all of our family in close proxmitiy.
Good value for money. Have stayed at RACV Noosa which was fantastic, but expensive. Breakfree french quarter offers good alternative.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking pool area.

Thank you for taking the time leaving positive feedback regarding your recent stay with us. It is great to hear you enjoyed the facilities, surrounding area, and that the staff were helpful. Although there are no dining options on the actual resort, there are quite a few cafe's and restaurants in the immediate area, with several open for breakfast. Our front desk team are always ready to help our guests with different options, including now a pre-packed breakfast that can be delivered to your room the evening before if you have an early start the next day!

Thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Noosa.

We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 year old daughter and we had a great time. We were in room 120, a 1 bedroom deluxe apartment in the East Quarter on the ground floor facing out to the pool area. When we arived there was no record of my request for a higher level apartment to avoid my daughter running out to the pool un-noticed but in hindsight it turned out to be just fine... the pool area is completely fenced off and safe for even the most adventurous of toddlers. The room was clean, had everything that we needed and the lady at the front desk was happy to help me out with anything that I asked for... all with a friendly smile!
The pool area is great for both kids and adults with a small paddling pool for the young ones, an assortment of balls, floats, etc and the spa pool and sauna were nice.
The location is definitely a winner. There is an exit right on to Hastings Street but since it is at the end there was hardly any noise at night time (It may have been a different story had we stayed in a room on the street side but I can't comment on that)
If I were to pick any fault (and it really would be picking) I'd say that the sofa bed was uncomfortable and as an adult I wouldn't want to sleep on it for longer than a night and the digital TV reception was pretty patchy.
All in all we had a great time, the staff were great, the resort was lovely, and if we go back to Noosa there's no question I will be staying there again

Room Tip: East Quarter apartments were handy for the car park and reasonably sheltered from any street noise

We appreciate your great feedback in regards to your recent stay with. It is wonderful to hear you enjoyed your time at BreakFree French Quarter Resort, and were looked after well by the staff.
Our TV system has now been switched over to digital, which has solved any previous problems with reception issues. We will also enquire about the sofa you have mentioned, thank you for pointing this out.

We stayed here for a short two night break.

The property is well located at the southern end of hastings St just across the road from the Surf Club and beach.

It is very handy to all the shops and restaurants on Hastings St but without the vehicle and pedestrian traffic and despite being a fairly large resort it was surprisingly quiet.

We stayed in a one bedroom room which had a combined kitchen lounge room however if you wanted to sit down and eat you had to go outside onto the patio.
we were on the ground floor and overlooking the pool however it was still very private. The pool is heated to a very pleasant temperature which was encouraging many guests to enjoy.

The bathroom had a washing machine and tub however the shower was in the spa bath which meant a climb over the side to get in which for an older person may have been a problem.

The staff we very friendly and check in and out was quick and efficient and their is plenty of undercover secure parking if you are driving.

This would be an ideal property for a family holiday particularly if you have young children.

Stayed for 2 days with the boyfriend. We had such a relaxing time. Our room opened up onto the pool area, and the view was lovely with the palms and the bush turkeys wandering around.
I loved the coziness of the room we stayed in. There was a wooden slat sliding door that enclosed the centre room, thus separating the living and bedroom area.
We had laundry facilities in our room as well, very handy after already being in Queensland for 4 days!
Hastings Street shops were very close, great for shopping (if not slightly expensive in some stores).
The Surf Club was close too, great food!

Right across the road from the newly renovated Surf Lifesaving Club you are in a great position to get to the beach and walk along Hastings Street. No need to drive anywhere. We had a 2 bedroom apartment in great modern condition, which for 2 adults and 2 kids was perfect. The kids were always down at the pool if not on the beach. A great position for a Noosa holiday, and as it is not absolute beachfront facing the price is good as well. There is a great cafe out the front on Hastings Street serving breakfast early with a lot of locals stopping by. Dinner at the Surf Club is a must with the balcony overlooking the beach. I noticed a lot of repeat business with families I spoke to having stayed previously.

Room Tip: Ask for East Block in winter as you get the sun all day on your balcony.
