We stayed at the Sebel in 2005 in a 2 bedroom unit and in 2006, in a one bedroom unit. Both times we found the resort to be above our expectations. Perhaps a little on the expensive side, but the general facilities make you feel its worth the money. The water features provide a relaxing atmosphere.

Noosa was the highlight of my trip to Australia. This is the hotel we stayed at, and we had a fabulous time. Large rooms. Very good location.

a very comfortable apartment central to the resort, close to all amenities

I stayed in a one bedroom suite, which is really a small apartment. It had a very large bedroom with a king bed, a large bathroom with a spa, a living room and an eat-in kitchen.

The hotel is in an excellent location, on Hastings Street and a 1 minute walk to the beach. Be careful when staying in Noosa if you are interested in the beach -- as Noosa is a large area with many subregions, many places to stay are not within walking distance of the beach. You should look for places in Noosa Heads on Hastings Street. Hasting Street is the main "resort" street of this town.

Despite other reviews, our family thought that the hotel pool was excellent. It is not as large as a resort pool in Hawaii, but the children had many hours of fun. The pool has water features, a bridge, pots that pour water, jets, etc, which makes it a fun pool.

The hotel is well maintained. There are 6 separate buildings (each 3 storeys) and two courtyards. One courtyard has the main pool, and the other has a children's wading pool, spa and picnic area.

We were on the top floor (rooms with a "3" as the second digit of the room number are on the top floor).

We did not book though the hotel, but via an offsite agent, Richardson & Wrench, rwnoosaholidays. The advantage of
doing this is that you can reserve an exact room, and you will be guaranteed that room. Because each room is different, with different views and aspects and sizes, this worked well for us.

The hotel is called Sebel Noosa Resort, but it you book offsite, it is called "Laguna on Hastings" - I am not sure why. It is the same place.

Overall, we had a great vacation in Noosa staying at this hotel.
