“Family friendly resort with great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

The resort is in an excellent location, just opposite the beach. The one bedroom apartment had a fold-out sofa bed in the lounge-room so that was handy for our young children to sleep on without having to pay extra to get a two bedroom apartment. We were able to cook simple meals in the apartment's kitchen and use the washing machine/dryer which was great as we were there for 10 enjoyable days.

Room Tip: We had a room on the third floor (top floor) so this had plenty of light. Ours was not facing the po...

We have stayed at various hotels on Hastings Street, and this is my favourite, unless you really want to splash out and get a beach front apartment (which will be very expensive or very small or both).

The Sebel is in the best location, is not too large or overwhelming, and is great condition.

There are 6 buildings. Each building is 3 floors high (with carparks underneath). Aim for the top floor if you can. There are one bedroom and two bedroom suite apartments in each building. There are two internal courtyards, one with a pool and the other with a spa and wading pool.

Some apartments look into the courtyards, some look over Hastings Street (looking North), some look out to the Noosa River (looking South), and some look out onto neighbouring properties (looking East or West). Each suite has a different aspect, a different floor plan and a different feel. Some people we talked with love the pool view, others loved the Hastings Street view, and others preferred the river view. To make matters even more complex, some apartments have balcony railings that you can see through, and others have block railings that give you privacy but you can't see through.

Take care who you book through. I strongly recommend you book with Mirvac. Some offsite real estate agents take bookings, but these are not for the hotel, but private apartments located in the same building. These private apartments are not part of the hotel, and are serviced weekly (not daily), and you can't check-in onsite. If you check-in out of regular hours, you have to pay an extra fee with the offsite agents. So book with Mirvac.

I recently stayed at the Noosa Sebel with a friend and the resort exceeded my expectations! The location was perfect - steps from both the beach and Hastings Street where all the shopping and dining options are located. The rooms were very large and modern. The front desk personnel made great dining suggestions (Sails and Bistro C which were both great). Also, try Aroma located just in front of the hotel for breakfest!

It is a very good hotel with helpful staff. The location is excellent near the beach and on Hastings Street. Maybe everything was a bit too artifical for us. We spent four days there and made small excursions in the area also. That the beach with nice restaurants is so close was amazing.

My husband I I spent the Easter break here for 4 nights.
Room was big enough (1 bed apartment), but realistically, we didn't spend a great deal of time in the room. With the beach across the road, we spent more time on the sand than in the room. Bit disappointted that the balcony did not have movable louvers, so it did feel a bit enclosed.
Have no issues with the staff, all bookings we asked for were done in a speedy fashion. If you are getting an airport transfer, go with ATS which we did for arrival. The hotel only books with Henry's which we did for the return and whilst they were clean and on time, there wasn't any personal interaction as there was with ATS, which was a great welcome to the area.
Dinner at the pizza place next door (Zachary's) was fantastic and we managed to get a table even though it was packed (there are advantages to being a two, sometimes).
If you are going to Eumundi markets and don't want to hire a car, go with Storyline. Again, a more personallised journey with local knowledge, not just a seat on a bus.

This Sebel Hotel is great! Well designed floor plans, big rooms, recently renovated bathrooms with an awesome SPA! I stayed here for one night on the 3rd of April, wish we could have stayed here for a week! I will definitely be back, booked on www.wotif.com for $200 a night.

The bedroom could be separated from the bathroom and kitchen/living area so that you could sleep another couple on the sofa. Doors opened out to the balcony, ask for a view of the resort pool if possible.

The resort is very children friendly as there is a separate children's pool. The main pool in the middle of the resort is gorgeous, with many lounges surrounding it, great to just chill out and read a book.

The beach is literally a 3min walk, there are 5 star restaurants and all other venues from ice cream to coffee within a 5min walk radius. Don't really need to leave the area at all, unless you want to.

I can not wait to come back to this beautiful resort at gorgeous Noosa.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has views of the resort pool.

My wife and I spent three nights here and wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is in the middle of Hastings St. among the shops and restaurants. It's also just across the street from beach access. We stayed mid-week so the pools were relatively quiet and we were able to get chairs most of the time. Annie at reception was great from the moment we arrived when she told us not to lift a finger if we needed anything. She helped us book surf lessons, which were conveniently charged to the room in addition to great restaurant recommendations and reservations. The third floor unit had a balcony and washer/dryer which was very convenient. Not sure if we'll be back in Australia but definitely would recommend this hotel if you'll be in Noosa.

Room Tip: If you need internet access, ask for a code and they will give you 15 mins for free.
