This is an absolutely outstanding experience.
To accompany everything we had the wonderful 2009 Soul Growers' Equilibrium (Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre).
We started with the heirloom tomato salad with mozzarella, feta, tomato mousse, soufflé, and balsamic reduction. Subtle tastes and beautiful presentation. Think of a deconstructed caprese salad. We moved onto the wild mushroom risotto - which we tend to get this dish at a lot of high-end restaurants - and it had an excellent creamy consistency and beautiful meaty mushrooms (including chanterelles). We also has the duck with red cabbage, apple, carpaccio, and duck-fat roasted potatoes. The duck was perfect - succulent and not overdone - and it was a wonder, bite after bite, to put it with each other accompaniment.
Cheeses were excellent, baniffie good (but needed more banana).
