“Excellent start to our Noosa holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2010

Having travelled most of the day to get to Noosa and arriving at our lovely but empty self catering apartment we decided to walk across the bridge and find a quick bite to eat. Ricky's looked the perfect destination. The restaurant is in a gorgeous location by the edge of the Noosa River and also next to a grass reserve with children's play equipment. This was handy as our children aged 11 and 8 were able to run around outside while we waited for our meals. As it was late afternoon we decided to have an early dinner. Though the restaurant was heavily booked for later in the evening they were happy to accommodate us prior to the dinner rush. The service, while being friendly and relaxed, was top notch. The food was incredible. Our son branded his kid's spaghetti bolognese the best ever and my fresh crab spaghettini was one of the most delicious pasta dishes I have ever tasted. We cannot wait to return to Ricky's and would highly recommend it. The little shopping area where Ricky's is located at Quamby Place Noosa Sound is around 15 minutes walk from Hastings Street or Noosaville but the Noosa Ferry actually stops right at Ricky's if you want to arrive by boat.

“A must do in Noosa for a great gourmet experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2010

Last night we enjoyed a really impressive dining experience at Ricky's. Having eaten at some of the best restaurants around the world without doubt the menu selection we tried and service experienced were up there with the best. We didn't worry about the tapas (which looked fantastic) just had entrees ( truffle oil risotto with scallops and beef cheek) which we raved over so flavoursome and delicious. For main we had duck with chesnuts, apples and calvados jus and osso bucco, both again made an excellent impression with the flavours. To add to the food we had an excellent Gary Farr Pinot recommended by the waiter. Service was spot on and the highlight - we took along our three year old twins and seven year old daughters who really enjoyed their fish and chips who were spoilt by the waiters offered cushions and ice cream with chocolate, wafers and smarties. The girls really loved the atmosphere and attentive service given and we as parents felt like we had an effortless gourmet experience that we can't wait to return and enjoy again. Thank you Ricky's!!!!

“Ricky Rocks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2010

Recently visited Rickys for an evening meal with my wife and 2 children aged 12 and 9. The service and meal was fantastic. We regularly dine out and to fine a top notch service, food and location is hard. Rickys covers these areas and delivers, It comes with an extremely high recommendation to experience this dining. Previously we had to travel to Cairns to get Fillet Steak cooked to perfection, now we have found it only a few hours away.

“Worth the Taxi ride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2010

We ordered a Taxi to take us from the Sheraton to Ricky's. The night started horribly. This isn't a review of Noosa Taxi's, so I won't go into details, suffice to say that when we arrived at Ricky's we were flustered, angry, 30 minutes late and in need of a drink!
We apologised for being late and were quickly sat down at our table. Our Waiter could see we were a bit frazzled and asked if we needed a pre-dinner drink. Very perceptive of him! The menu is broken into 3 main parts, Tapas, Entree and Mains. We ordered a range of Tapas to start, starting with the Coffin Bay Oysters. We asked that they be Natural. No problem. When the Oysters came out they had the "Nam Jim Sorbet" on them. Oh great, the fun continues. I looked at the Waiter and said "Perhaps it was our mistake, so don't worry about it, we'll take these". As it tuns out, they were very good, had we known we probably would have ordered the oysters with Nam Jim Sorbet!
3 minutes later, the Waiter arrives, with another dozen oysters, natural and a glass of champagne for each of us. He then apologises for the mix up and tells us the new batch of oysters and the champagne are complimentary. he won our hearts right then and there!
Why can't more restaurants provide outstanding service lie this???
After a few tapas dishes, including the must have stuffed and fried olives, we were quite full. So we decided to order entrees as mains. I had the Noosa Spanner Crab spaghettini, which was excellent, not drowned in chili, but just right. Mary had the Scallops which were also superb.
We would rush back to eat here again! The food was excellent, the service OUTSTANDING and the overall experience, just delightful.
As we paid the bill and went to the door, you wouldn't believe it, same Taxi driver ready to take us home, but that's another story!
