“Peace stay among the Trees..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

We stayed 2 nights in unit 6; one of the self-contained chalets. Very peaceful and quiet.

I like the red-brick living room with tasteful decor and gas-stove heater with such a warm ambience. The living room open into the balcony with a large lawn in front. The bedrooms are simple but comfortable. We borrowed some board games free of charge and rented DVDs at the reception to keep the kids occupied during the cold and wet evenings.

Kitchen is well-equipped for your cooking needs and IGA supermarket is located 5 mins drive away in the town.

Highly enjoyable stay.... will stay here again if we return to Pemberton.

Room Tip: chalet is a good choice for small family

We arrived shortly before lunchtime on a Sunday with pouring rain without a reservation and fortunately could check in early into the most remote one of the chalets. What a peaceful way to spend a rainy day! We fired up the fireplace - there was plenty of local haevy wood provided to keep us up for the rest of the day and the night - and enjoyed the spacious and nicely furnished cozy living room with the burning fire, listening to the rain coming down on the roof above us. We had free excellent fast WiFi to keep us busy and in the evening could observe the Kangoroos grazing next to the house. What a peaceful setting! When the rain stoped, we took our steak to the BBQ and had lunch in our unit with a good bottle of local wine. The view out the window over the nicely manicured park around us in one direction and to the prothea flowers in the other was relaxing as well and the Kangoroos where there jet again for their breakfast.
We can recommend this place to everybody loving nature and a cozy place, yet not far from the town center.

Room Tip: A Chalet is absolute worth the extra.

We stayed here for three nights over the Easter weekend in one of the chalets. We had a wonderful time. The accommodation is lovely and in keeping with the location. The children loved playing on the lawn in the day and watching kangaroos in the evening, precious memories. We had breakfast on our last morning and it was lovely. Lots of choice, great service and wonderful setting. We loved being able to borrow books and games and DVDs. For our young family, the wildlife we saw here was the highlight.

Room Tip: The chalets are perfect for families as they are close to the kangaroos and the playground and you c...

We stayed for a weekend and we loved this place. It is in a little oasis in the bush and just a couple of minutes drive for the town centre.
We were lucky enough to get upgraded ot a new superior studio with spa and it was beautiful. The room was very clean everything was shiney, new and comfortable and the spa was a real bonus.
We chose it over a chalet because we wanted to be close to the town centre in order to eat in the local places at night and they offer breakfast.
The breakfast did not dissapoint. Eggs made to order, fruit, toast, pancakes and fantastic coffee.
We loved the breakfast and the beautiful setting overlooking the lake.
We would definetly recommend and stay again

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay here last night. The room was very spacious but a little tired. Breakfast was first class this morning with the local parrot and parakeet family join us for breakfast in their special feeders at the sides of the outdoor breakfast area. Quite a lot of kangaroos in the surrounding field's

Although the room was slightly tired this did not spoil our stay. The setting of the hotel is truly stunning, the breakfast excellent and in a delightful room overlooking the lake. Staff very helpful and informative. Highly recommended.

As others have said the setting and location of this place is great.

I had some difficulty attracting someone's attention to check in, although this isn't a big deal.

I stayed in a guest room and I thought it was a bit dated, the bathroom could have done with a refurbishment and bedroom could do with some modernisation. Perhaps the other accommodation is more up-to-date.

I had to miss breakfast as it was only served between 8:00am-9:00am and I had to leave at 7:00am, however that's my lookout. I realise the management can't suit everyone and most people are happy with 8:00am breakfast.

Given that I missed breakfast I don't think I got my $170 worth. If the room and bathroom had been more recently refurbished and I'd eaten breakfast then I'd have got very good value. As it was, I was slightly disappointed.

I did notice that the property is up for sale (sign a the entrance) so property may improve (or deteriorate).
