Disappointed. The place is well run down and the owner is a strange character. Hard work really.....

If you are down on your luck and only have a few dollars in your pocket then maybe this place is an option for you.

It is old and is in need of some major surgery to bring it up to scratch. A face lift might be a good start..... but then you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

5 of us stayed there recently, yes its a bit dated but it has everything you need, huge rooms, good value meals in the restaurant, very friendly staff, no complaints at all, would definately stay again.

Pemberton is a remote logging town, not much going off, but after driving for what seemed like forever, was a welcome stop. The Karri Forest Motel is a little dated and basic, and if I was staying for more than one night I would have been disappointed, but for our needs is was adequate. The room was clean and shower was good. We eat there that evening, and the food was excellent but expensive, and the drinks choice is limited to say the least. The choices to stay in Pemberton are limited and I wouldn’t rule out staying there again.

We stayed for two nights on a recent visit to the Pemberton area. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable with large toilet and shower rooms. Rooms have tv,fridge and electric kettle.
We all enjoyed our meal in the restaurant, the menu had plenty of variety and the service was very personable and friendly.
The motel is about 5/10 minutes walk from 'downtown' Pemberton.
Its a 'no frills' motel, represents excellent value for money and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

The Karri Forest Motel was our stop for the third night of our tour of Western Australia. Pemberton is pretty town, but it is a long way from anything else. The Karri Forest Motel was a little basic but our room was clean and the shower was hot. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant but the bar was very sparsley stocked.

The motel was a welcome sight after a long day of driving but we would have chosen a bit more upmarket if we had known the area better.

Arrived in Pemberton after 11pm and had no trouble using the after hours arrangements to get the keys to our room. Parking was clearly marked and immediately next to our room. Had a fantastic night's sleep - the bed was very comfortable - better than our own at home! Very quiet and peaceful. The shower was good with the hot water 'hot' and no running out. The restaurant had recently re-opened after a refurbishment and we enjoyed a tasty dinner there. Joe - the Manager - was friendly and helpful. All in all, this was good accomodation for a good price. We would recommend this to anyone.

Room Tip: Standard and luxury rooms very similar so go for the cheaper standard room.
