5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2011

I love the warm and friendly greeting by Tracy which continues as wonderful hospitality during the entire stay. The location nestled among the trees with the visiting birdlife I find very relaxing. The amenities are very comfortable with so many little details that are the hallmark of a proprietor wo really cares about her guests.I really appreciate the walk in robe and luggage racks.
Another delight is the food prepared by Tracy who is a talented and passionate chef. The breakfast's are delicious and I really love the option of being able to have dinner ad enjoy a wine without having to drive. The menu is varied and meals sensational.I especially love the vegetarian options and Tracy's flexibility to cook dishes not currently on the menu.

We enjoyed two nights at this lovely B & B in the bush. Tracy was friendly and accommodating and her breakfasts made to order were top class. We had also pre-booked dinner one night to celebrate my husband's birthday and were very satisfied with the Pemberton Trout meal we had chosen. Our room was clean and comfortable and their was a dining/lounge area where we could watch TV, access the internet and eat meals. The lovely peaceful location was ideal and but a short drive to the township.

Our three night stay was an environment award prize generously donated by the owner Tracy. We built a ten day holiday to South West WA around it.
A Splendid Wren B&B was everything its website described. A gourmet treat, a great place to relax, read, recharge the batteries etc although you need to do a bit of exercise to work off the excellent breakfasts. No complaints.
A bird lovers paradise, we saw at least 15 different species just outside our room including of course a splendid wren.

We have just returned from a 5 week holiday in Australia. Our favourite B&B was A Splendid Wren. Tracey is a charming and generous host and a wonderful cook. The room was comfortable and we loved having the use of the sitting room. We were able to relax and watch a DVD in the evening after a busy day of sightseeing. The breakfasts were divine.

We were delighted to stay at the Splendid Wren in Pemberton on the last leg of a 10 day trip through southwestern Australia. Tracy, the host, provides scrumptious gourmet breakfasts (and dinners at a pinch) in the privacy of a lovely guest lounge shared by the two bedroom property. She was our favorite of many great hosts on our trip. Very knowledgeable but unintrusive and laid back. The property is very serene and the rooms spotless and well-furbished. Two thumbs! Will definitely refer friends...

A splendid wren, set on a bush block filled with birds just out from the small country town of Pemberton sounded the ideal place to rest and refresh ourselves. It was better than we hoped for.
The cosey rooms come with a built in robe, tv, bar fridge and large ensuite are ideal for a weekend away or even a longer stay. The guests lounge had every thing you needed to relax including a complimentary magnificant local port to sip after dinner, which brings me to the food.
The breakfast menu range was amazing. The usual cereals right through to a fully cooked breakfast of bacon , eggs how ever you like them. A selection of sausages from chicken through to kangaroo and amazing omlets and a plethora of sides all included in the accomodation price.
The main meal served at night however are an experience you will never forget. The best kangaroo steaks I ever had and they weren't even on the menu. When I rang up to book I mentioned the kangaroo steaks from their winter menu and was told " if there is anything you want to eat just let us know and we will see what we can do for you. ".
The surrouning area is filled with exellent wineries, galleries filled with local art and wood work made from local woods. All of which the hostess explained to us and directed us to some exellent sites. A two hour tram ride through the town and surrounds was a real highlight and the driver was a wealth of information on the area.
On the whole it was a weekend we will never forget. We are already planning our next visit an we haven't even left yet.

Tracey and Paul who are the hosts at the Spendid Wren are very friendly and welcoming. They have done everything to create the most charming, peaceful and comfortable rural retreat with all the mod cons and total privacy should one require that. Tracey's breakfasts are enormous and delicious - try her mushrooms (manna from heaven), her evening dish of salmon is wonderful. Generous with her time,Tracey is a mine of information about the area. Thank you for making our three night stay so special.
