“Lovely food, great location, interesting decor!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

We booked this restaurant by email and got a reply the same evening even though they weren't open that day. We also got a courtesy phone call to confirm. Catch 22 is on the boardwalk at Dolphin Quay. The restaurant has tables on the deck overlooking the boats as well as inside. The decor is quirky with interesting artefacts scattered around. The menu has a range of dishes as well as gourmet pizzas, tapas, and a fairly standard kids menu. We chose 3 items from the tapas menu to share for entrees, which gave us a good range of flavours and were also quite filling. The main meals were not too huge, but presented well and were tasty. Service was good. We were also able to use a discount voucher from the Entertainment Book.
Would definitely return!

“Delicious”

Great service, great food, great view, what more could you ask for? The location is the best one on the quay, overlooking the marina and the boardwalk.

“Good food but bad service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

Very average service but good food. Felt rushed from the moment we were seated till the time we walked out the door. Entrees were pretty good (scallops, prawns) and the mains were good (Malaysian curry, lamb cutlets).
The waitress was distracted, dismissive and wasn't handling the situation well.
It was blowing a bit so I asked if we could maybe sit inside, but from the shakes of the waitresses head as I started my sentence I could tell we had no chance. Our time at Catch 22 felt nothing more than a get em in, sit em down, make em pay too much and get em out before they catch on type experience.
If you want to pay over the top for what's nothing more than pretty good food in a nice location Catch 22 is for you, but if you want real customer service head to your local Chicken Treat to really spoil yourself.

“disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2014

have ate here twice in two weeks. once for tea with a group of people, second time on a casual sunday lunch. The dinner meals weren't the greatest although the service was very good. all polite and friendly. the stand out meal was the pizza which was quite tasty. for the lunch we had the steak which was only a sirloin, only two choices of sauce bernaise and jus and overpriced for the piece of meat that it was. The oysters Kilpatrick were a real let down. unshucked and undercooked. when your only getting small oysters anyway you need them shucked so you can at least get half a mouthful. I love oysters raw but you don't get them in between. my partner only likes them cooked and these were warmed at the very best, even the ham was not cooked. the service was also non existent, we chose to sit outside to soak in the sun and the views and had to walk to the counter to order each time we wanted food or a meal. with the restaurant almost empty and staff standing around inside you would expect they could come to your table every so often.
disappointed to say the least.

“Nice view but lacked in food quality”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

Great location. Had the Thursday night steak special which was just ok. Wine was not cellared and the red ordered was too hot to drink as it was at room temp which was above 30 C. Service was very amateurish with lack of attention to details.
