“Excellent Location for Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

I recently stayed at the Sebel Hotel, Mandurah. I stayed for two nights, the night before and the night after my wedding reception, which was also held at The Sebel Hotel in the Acacia Room. We stayed in an apartment suite with a large balcony. The suite was really lovely - it had all the amenities you could possibly need - fully stocked kitchen, gorgeous modern bathroom and large open-plan lounge area. View was beautiful. Staff at reception were friendly and quick in both check-in and check-out. As for the wedding, it was amazing - excellent service in making sure people had full drinks and yummy food, they were extremely accommodating when our outdoor location fell through because of poor weather, and immediately set up an alternative inside the hotel, without me having to ask! I could not recommend this hotel more for both wedding and stay.

Room Tip: Apartment suite is the best

I recently stayed at the Sebel for 1 night after a family wedding - I booked a Deluxe Studio room and it was huge!!!!! The room was a very generous size and very comfortable! The bathroom was also really spacious and had a fantastic size bath with views over to the foreshore. There was also a really great size balcony overlooking the water. I really enjoyed my stay and wish I was able to stay their longer to appreciate it a bit more!

Room Tip: The water view rooms are fantastic!

We stayed in this hotel for one night. Reception staff were nice and helpful. Room was big, clean and comfortable with a small balcony. Nice but basic pool area. Walking distance to dolphin quay and peel street. There was no bar in the hotel but hotel affiliated with M on the point next door. We went here for an afternoon drink but the live band that was playing was sooo loud that we had to leave. We had breakfast here and it was nice, also looked nice for dinner although we did not eat here. Would recommend this hotel.

Had the pleasure to stay for one night at the Sebel in Mandurah. It is a newish building and our room was a Studio apartment - beautifully appointed. The complex has all the usual amenities you would expect from Sebel and it has a delightful boardwalk which takes you past many restaurants and back into the main part of Mandurah.
I'll put it on the top of my list to stay, when next in town.

A girlfriend and I went on the Wine & Dine package and had a lovely overnight stay. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely deck looking over the boardwalk where we talked away the afternoon with the bottle of wine and chocolates. Both beds were comfy and we slept well! The mid morning room service breakfast (which we again ate on the deck) was a nice way to start our day and the late 12pm checkout made it seem like no rush to leave. Room prices are high compared to what you can get elsewhere but it was a lovely break and hotel and the packages are great.

Working in Perth I stayed here for 3 nights and it was good, nice room, music in the restaurant was great at breakfast. However....I was turned away from the restaurant on Saturday Night as I was eating alone and it seemed they were not prepared to allocate a table for one. Ouch.
No WiFi in the rooms, and after the restaurant episode I didn't feel any love.

Dear Tom W,

Thank you for posting your feedback onto TripAdvisor regarding your recent 3 days in Mandurah whilst attending the Boat Show.

It was a shame that M on the Point Restaurant & Bar was fully booked that night; with the Mandurah Boat Show on over that weekend it was extremely busy.
I am sorry that the approach by the staff at M on the Point marred your stay with us at The Sebel. Whilst this restaurant is owned and operated independantly to the hotel we do usually work very closely together, however on this occasion we fell short in delivering our usual service levels.
I am also sorry that you did not receive my letter to you; after not being able to eat in the restaurant I had booked you a table on your subsequent two nights and wanted you to be aware of our efforts in recovering from your first night.

We are currently investigating a project in putting in place WIFI in guest rooms; however until then the broadband internet will still be available.

Thank you for your positive comments on the room and breakfast, it is certainly appreciated.

Tom, we thank you once again for staying with The Sebel Mandurah and look forward to welcoming you back when next in the region.

Warm regards,
Leighton Yates

Nice big room with balcony. The duty Manager was very helpful. We arrived early and the room was not ready. However, she rang us up as soon as it was well prepared. The room is clean and big. The balcony got an outdoor setting for two people. One downside of this hotel is parking. You need to use the free public parking spot which may be of an issue for elderly. You need to walk a short distance from the hotel and up the ramps and steps. There is no cover either. Of course, you can drop off outside the hotel. The restaurant apparently does not belong to the hotel. However, food and service were excellent. It is definitely a quiet hotel and the surronds are dead quiet as well. It could be different if we stay there during the weekend or holidays. The tariff for any hotel in Perth and Mandurah is expensive as compared with hotels in SE Asia. The cost of broadband is too expensive. So I use my tablet in cafe with hotspot for free. Macdonlds is not that far away either. We'll definitely stay there again.

Dear GL6152,

Thank you for your post and candid remarks regarding your stay with us at The Sebel Mandurah.

We are definitely working on our internet offering at present to provide further solutions to our guests. Meanwhile, we will still continue to offer free WIFI in our reception and lobby area as a complimentary offering until then.

Thank you once again and we certainly look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
