“Utterly amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

It's very rare that you find a place that offers it all! Great service, great food, amazing coffee and a lovely atmosphere but the urban coffee house surely does. I went there for the first time Friday morning for breakfast, even though all the girls were extremely busy and under pressure they were all still wearing smiling faces and happy to help everyone. I ordered the vego breakfast and it was the best thing I have ever tasted, the coffee was also lovely and the atmosphere was so relaxing I didn't ever want to leave. Will definitely be making this my regular coffee shop and will be recommending it to every person I know.

“Looks good, but isn't.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

The Urban Coffee House was the only place we could find for coffee/breakfast at about 8.30am on a Sunday morning. The venue has a great vibe, cool music, furniture and atmosphere gives you the initial impression that you could settle into one of their comfy chairs and spend the whole day there. We ordered coffee (more like warm milk with a coffee bean waved over it) and a herbal tea - cant really get that wrong, plus poached eggs with spinach, and fried eggs on toast. The toast was not toast, it was warmed bread - not even crunchy. The spinach was not cooked as expected. Instead there was a pile of fresh spinach leaves on the side of the plate. The toast was not buttered, but they did provide a butter pat with the breakfast but when you buttered the "toast" the bread just disintegrated. Oh, and the bread was just your normal supermarket sliced bread. Staff nice and friendly.

Great stop by for us enroute to work, good coffee, good service, good food. Also a great place to meet friends for lunch. Healthy food and wonderful breakfasts.

“Early Morning”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

It's hard to find somewhere to have coffee before work and this little cafe does the trick. The staff are friendly, they have a large host of regulars! And now they are open Sunday. Win.

“Good cafe spot, service hit & miss”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013 via mobile

Come here from time to time for breakfast, coffee or a quick bite to eat. Mostly always good. Last visit was a little annoying, one lovely young girl out the front, big smile doing all the work while two other girls were 'hiding' around the corner eating breakfast (in plain view) - while waiting for my takeaways, another lady came to order - the sweet girl that served me was busy making a few orders so asked the girls to grab the til, a bit of teamwork, maybe? One girl walked off in the other direction, complete ignorance & the other looked over, gave the "really, I'm a little busy - and too good for this" look and just continued eating, having a lovely chat to the kitchen staff.
Although she did finally come over (after another 5 minutes), no smile - sorry about the wait or just a general "Hi, how are you going today?".
Not the best way to make someone feel welcome!
Overall nice place, just give the nice girl a payrise and demand a bit of work from the other two.
Beautiful Coffee
