“Still a Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Just enjoyed a weekend away with 2 x other families down south in Busselton - we decided on 2 x bedroom apartments at Abbey Beach Resort. I must admit I have stayed here on a number of occasions as a Business traveler and always raved about the experience, this time was no different!
Our unit was immaculate - it's a 'self service" apartment and had all of the mod-cons to make the stay comfortable. Foxtel/HD TV plus a small iPhone/iPod dock/stereo system and a DVD player, reverse cycle air-con and a very modern, newish, CLEAN kitchen, Main bedroom with a spa, separate bedroom with another bathroom - all tidy, updated clean and very well maintained.
Beds are very comfortable!
Even after arriving staff rocked up to the door to ensure everything worked/was OK.
The amenities are fabulous - indoor heated pool, sauna, spa plus the Café is reasonable and food is very good.
It can be pricey - best try and book online to get the best deal.

We went away for a 4 day break and really enjoyed the ambience of the resort. Having both indoor and outdoor swimming pools means that the weather doesn't hinder your enjoyment, plus the beach is right at the back of the resort, with beautiful clean sand and crystal clear water. The resort did lack a little in atmosphere but I think that was because people are rarely at the hotel, instead they are out enjoying the region and all it has to offer. The 1 bedroom unit was clean and tidy and had a lovely spa bathroom and the kitchen was well equipped.

Room Tip: A corner apartment has a larger balcony

Dear NeilHod. Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay with us. We are pleased to hear that the resort & its facilities were able to provide a welcome retreat for your 4 day break.

We are glad you appreciated having 3 pools at the resort. Our indoor pool which is heated to 28c is always popular with our guests during the Winter. We are also very lucky with our location on the shores of Geographe Bay. We highly recommend next time watching the sunset over the Cape.

Thank you once again for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back to the resort again in the near future.

This was the fourth time I have stayed at Abbey Beach Resort. Previous stays have been in a studio apartment but this time I stayed in a three bedroom, three bathroom apartment with the family including a baby for whom a high chair and cot were provided.
As always the rooms were kept very clean and comfortable. We ate at the cafe both nights and the service and food were excellent. I have recommended Abbey Beach to other family members who have booked a stay already.

Excellent resort and location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our unit (2x2) was clean, equipped with modern appliances, and a pleasure to be in. Spa was excellent, but no direct line-of-sight to the TV, which would have been icing on an already iced cake. However, the spa was completely relaxing without the TV, and we became prunes soon enough, so maybe just as well.

Room Tip: Top floor is quieter, if you don't mind stairs, and the end units only have one adjacent unit.

Abbey Beach Resort Busselton
There are a number of accommodation styles and types including 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. We stayed in a 1 bedroom spa suite which was very large with queen size bed, sofa and small dining setting. Pleasant sitting on balcony having a drink or cup of coffee. Microwave and toaster, kettle in room , ironing board
Long life milk, coffee, tea provided on first night/ ' starter pack'.
There are 3 dining facilities and room service and take away are available- I thought a little pricey- but what the heck- we were on holidays!
Modems and internet connections are in the room but wifi isn't- it is available in the atrium and adjacent areas.
Situated on the beach front, with a safe swimming beach, Abbey Beach resort offers many recreational facilities on site including
children's playground, 3 swimming pools- one large heated indoor, communal spa, all very clean and inviting; sauna, gym , squash and tennis courts and bike and wave ski hire for the energetic; a pool table and,art gallery with an artist in residence, for those a little less energetic.
One negative- quite a long way out of town - approx 5 kilometres which would make it too far for smaller kids to ride and as it sits on a busy main road, not a good option. However, not an issue if you have a car or don't need to shop for provisions or goodies!

Room Tip: Our room faced the caravan park and car park next door, however, it was still quiet. This was a midw...

Dear michelle t. Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay with us. It sounds like you had a very relaxing stay!

We are glad to hear you appreciated the spacious rooms & the in-room amenities that the resort provides. Whether it is a Studio Spa Suite or our 3 Bedroom Apartment, we believe our rooms provide our guests with ample space to relax & enjoy their holidays in.

You will pleased to hear that the resort is currently in final negotiations with our internet service provider to provide our guests with resort-wide wifi & this should be in place by the summer.

We are pleased to hear also that you enjoyed the range of facilities that we provide. We believe that not only are we the perfect base for guests looking to explore the South West, but our facilities also offer our guests every opportunity to be able to relax within the safe surrounds of the resort.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the resort again in the future. Did you know we also provide bike & kayak hire for our guests? With the shores of Geographe Bay only a stone’s throw from the resort & access to the cycle path that takes you away from the main road all the way to either Busselton or Dunsborough, we recommend on your next visit.

Location = Fabulous
Check-in = easy.
Apartment = just as detailed online - perfect
Amenities = excellent

We spent 4 relaxing days at Abbey Beach and utilised all they had to offer, from the pool, cafe art gallery to spending a day on the bikes - which are very reasonably priced $13/day.
Our room was serviced every day, we had no worries about our sleep quality as to noise, it was the perfect location to explore the Margaret River Wine/brewery/chocolate country as well as taking in the Naturaliste coastline, Dunsborough and of course the town of Busselton with its famous jetty.
Everything about the resort was spotlessly clean, everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly.
Would I recommend this resort as a place to stay -Yes for all traveller types.
