“Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2011

This resort was one of the few places that allowed a booking of less than 7 nights over Christmas which suited us as we only wanted 3 nights away!
Great location with the beach at the end of the road and a little shop in walking distance.
Pool not huge but made supervision of our 5 year old easier!
Rooms simple but clean and had everything we needed plus foxtel & DVD player.
Only one air conditioner which was ok but if we stay again I would bring a standing fan from home for night time.
Good value for money we enjoyed ourselves!

On a family trip south we looked at a number of places to stay and thankfully we picked the Amalfi.

On arrival we were warmly greated and directed to our spacious apartment which was clean and comfortable. The apartments were well equipped including washing machine and dryer (which helps when you have two small kids!) and pretty much everything we needed to make a home from home. The DVD's to rent and the hot tub were a definite bonus.

Sometimes you can be unlucky picking out a place to stay but this time we got it spot on.

We were impressed with being able to stay in a 3 bedroom executive poolside villa. When we arrived the receptionist was very helpful. We were given a Villa that smelt like fish. They had two perfume plugins to cover the smell of fish. The only problem was that the deodorant plugins made the room smell worse. Therefore we turned them both off. Apart from the stinking fish smell the apartments are well set up with a king size bed upstairs and a queen size downs stairs and 2 singles in the corner with 2 shut doors. The rooms need to be replaced with proper dark curtains as the rooms have verticals, which wake you up at 4 in the morning. There is a tennis court which will cost you $10 per hr and a pool and a outdoor spa. Put proper curtains in and I would stay again. The bonus is the air conditioning in the lounge and upstairs room. Not suitable for kids the upstairs room.

Unfortunate there was a dead possum in the roof during when these people stayed and the longer they were there the worse it became. Although one possum had been removed we did not realise that there was another one still in the roof. The guests did not report the issue until they were leaving and then we were able to get someone in and have the possum removed. Possums are encouraged in this area but unfortunately they can also cause problems. The room is now perfect, the smell has been removed and the roof sealed to prevent any more possums getting in.
The use of the tennis court is free at our resort. If you don't have your own equipment then there is an equipment hire charge.

i have left my Bvlgari watch at Amalfi Resort in Busselton and came to realise it after reaching Perth. My boyfriend called and they confirmed it. I am thankful and grateful to all of you for arranging the watch to be delivered back to me in Singapore.

What complete the whole holidays in Australia? You guys are awesome!!

Thank you so much!

We booked two nights here on our way from Perth to Albany. We were out of season (November) so it wasn't busy and we had a choice of apartments. They've got good facilities (kitchens, washrooms etc.) and seemed spacious and new/well maintained.

Nice swimming pool/jacuzzi area and tennis courts. DVDs for rent.

The resort is a little bit further from the centre than we would have liked and there' s nothing around it meaning you have to drive to eat out. On the Monday night we also discovered that many of the restaurants in town are shut. But that's not the resort's fault.

I'd stay here again.

Stayed at the Amalfi Resort, drove up to reception and they were warm and friendly, Got keys to our room and drove to our unit, parking outside the front door, this beautifully appointed room had two bedrooms, split system aircon, full laundry, tv and dvd, and a fully functioning kitchen, with a Seaco Automatic Coffee machine, filled with Busselton water (which is devine) and a good supply of roasted beans it made it a total experience. The rooms are not luxurious, but very comfortable. Beds could benefit from a pillowtop mattress as they were very firm, but thats the only downer. It was a nice place and lovely hosts, nothing to much trouble. Cheers

Spent 4 days at the Amalfi Resort. Book direct online via their website, funnily enough the rates were better than some supposedly cheap last minute deals website. Located off Bussell Hway, very easy to find and only 100 metres from the beach. Has about 48 villas on the property, we stayed in a ground floor executive villa. It had a lounge area (2 sofas), coffee table. LCD tv and dvd player, meals area, fully equipped kitchen, master bedroom with double bed, plenty of storage space and another bedroom with 2 singles. Beds were very comfy, spare pillows and blankets. Villa had dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Only thing we were a little disappointed with is that it only has a shower and our little toddler hates showers with a passion!! (he has to have a bath) so that was the only drama. You get some supplies of tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc and pots/pans provided, with full fride, oven, cooktop, microwave etc so it was idea for us. Nice little courtyard area with table and chairs. Parking right outside your villa although only parking for 1 car. It was very quiet (even for a long weekend) which we really liked. The resort has tennis courts, spa, kiddies pool (very small) and ok sized pool, little kids play area etc. 100 metres walk from beach and close to some little shops etc, and not far from town and not far from other attractions close by - Country Life Animal Farm on Caves Rd 5 kms from Yallingup is great for kids. This was our first time away for our 23 month old and he loved his 'holiday house'!! We would stay there again!
