“Couldn't be better !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

This park was quite a surprise and we couldn't be happier. It is ideally located on King George Bay and is a short drive from the town centre. The Caravan sites are a really good size with plenty of room to spread out and not be overlooked by others. The amenities are a little dated (much less so that others we have stayed in) but spotlessly clean. The staff are extremely pleasant and very accommodating to any requests. Our original plan to stay a single night turned into three. At $20 per night this truly was a great find.

We booked a beachside villa and were totally disgusted with the lack of cleanliness. There was mould in the shower and the glass screen was covered in soap scum, the towels were old and threadbare. There was dirt and rubbish on the floor under the 'fridge and dead flies, cotton threads and bits of paper on the carpet in the bedroom (obviously not vacuumed). The cutlery was old and sparce and the 'sharp' knife would not cut through butter. The glassware was covered in smudges and smears and they only had three wine glasses (the villa beds 6). There was one old saucepan and one old small frypan, one scourer and 1/2 a Chux wipe. The bed was old and the sheets had oil stains on them covered by a thin quilt (there were no extra blankets for those cold nights). We spent two weeks in Perth and Margaret River region but found this to be the worst accommodation by far, along with the dearest - would definitely not recommend. The unit was large and the view wonderful, a pity they did not take pride in their presentation.

Our linen is of a commercial standard, and is in no way threadbare, the towels provided are relatively new, the bedspreads are also of a high commercial quality, and there is a blanket provided on each bed booked for occupancy. There are also additional blankets provided in the bedroom cupboard should you encounter a cold spell.

It would be appreciated if you could please contact the park directly, as your comments do not reflect our accommodation or the facilities provided. We look forward to hearing from you.

We rented a self contained unit in off peak. The unit was very old, with mould in the bathroom and the ceilings. The unit was for six but only had cooking facilities to cater for two. The fry pan was sourced from an op shop and was only good for swatting the insects. If you stay there you should take all your own crockery and cooking utensils. Being winter there was no extra bedding and we froze with the sheet and quilt cover provided. Extra bedding costs extra. I would have rated it lower if I could. I have lived in Albany for 7 years and for $114 per night this place is on the bottom of the list to stay. Do your family a favor and stay some where else.

We spent the last long weekend at Rose Gardens in an ensuite chalet. The chalet itself was fairly clean, beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and hot! There was supposed to be a gas heater in this chalet as advertised on their site but there was no heater at all when we arrived. I called the office and was told, " oh no, those chalets don't have gas heaters. The website is wrong." We were brought a little electric fan heater which just managed to take some of the chill out of the air. Luckily there were 6 of us staying so I think our body heat warmed it up a bit! The sofa needs to be replaced as it was very worn and uncomfortable. There were 5 dining chairs and was only enough crockery for 5 people as well as 2 glasses in the cupboard. This wasn't an issue for us but could be for others.
Apart from these little problems, the park seemed nice and quiet and reasonably well set out.

Thank you for your feed back.

We have been through all of our accommodation and updated the contents to ensure that each unit has the facilities to accommodate every guest booked. Unfortunately from time to time these items go missing, are moved from chalet to chalet etc. however should have been checked prior to your arrival.

We will endeavour to ensure that this is not an ongoing issue and that future guests do not experience the same inconvenience.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Rose Gardens - it was a present from our children for our anniversary and we had a great time! The villa was comfortable and it was wonderful to sit on the verandah and look at the sea without the wind blasting you away - the beach there seems very sheltered so you don't get the fierce winds. Staff very helpful on where to go and what to see and the weather was kind to us which helped. Had a few meals in the café - very good. Would thoroughly recommend

We spent the Easter long weekend here for the first time. The caravan sites are roomy and not jammed in so there is some privacy. The grounds are well kept . The staff were helpful and friendly both on the phone and when we arrived.
I have read some not so favourable reviews about this place so we were a bit dubious. All I can say is that we will make this our place to stay when in Albany. We have already booked for Christmas
The only criticism I have is the ablution block was awash with water every morning . There are not enough drains and not enough extractor fans .
This does need to be rectified before someone slips and breaks something . If management address this then they would get the perfect score
