“Well presented and interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

This replica ship is very well made and could easily be the real thing. It is small, as they were often in those days, and because it is as true to the real thing access is difficult for some. I would suggest that if you are an older person with some mobility issues, care should be taken before attempting to go below, as the steep stairs and low deck heads may prove to be difficult. Children love it, but again there is the potential to fall if they are not properly supervised. Definitely a must visit...

“$5 -Brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013 via mobile

What a gem. More than reasonable replica that gives a great experience of what life on board during the age of sail would have been like. You can crawl everywhere but not up the rigging.Drive-up, pay your money to the helpful fellow and spend forty minutes thanking your luck stars for refrigeration, jet fuel, and deodorant.

Whilst in the area, check out the WA museum that is right next door.

“Sailing into the past.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

It is a wonderful insight into the lives of the sailors who lived and worked in such cramped quarters so long ago. I have been over the replica of the Endeavour, and although similar, it is worth the entry fee. The audio guide allows you to move through the brig at your own pace, which I found terrific as I really like to stop and savor the atmosphere. There was a school group going through at the same time as I was, but it was easy to avoid their chatter and enjoy the experience. The brig is cramped and rooms small, which is what is to be expected. Imagine hurrying through as she rode the seas, especially in storms. My imagination ran riot. It is worth a visit, but take your time. The ladders are ok, just don't have too much in your hands or a big bulky handbag to wrestle at the same time.

“Take the time to listen to the audio tape.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

Quite an achievement to build this replica. It does not bear thinking about travelling in this Brig. You really need to listen to the personal audio guide. This means stopping at many points throughout the brig and listening to the story .

“Has to be seen to understand what it was like. ”

The audio aids are imaginatively created to provide a real perspective on the on board conditions on this voyage to form the first WA settlement. Worth a detour.
