“Well worth the visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

The Ibis is a well located motel in the Albany area, and the evening meal is of good quality and well priced. The young staff could do with a bit of education on greetings, as I and my wife do not appreciate being greeted with the " Hi Guys" approach.

The rooms were big as advertised. The service was quite good. I arrived about 11 pm and I called the offsite number and someone helped me check in promptly.

The negatives - my fridge wasn't working (yes I plugged it in and turned the swich on); someone was drilling or welding at about 8 am in the morning so that was no hope of sleeping in; it took a long time to be served in the restaurant for dinner; I ordered some ribs and they were very dry and the potatoes appeared as if they had been cooked the day before.

If this hotel is 5 star then I am Barack Obama.

We found our meal to be good value for money, nice steaks, good sauces and enough on the salad bar to make a few selections. The salad bar was also topped up regularly. Service was friendly, although our mains took quite a while, we were able to much on our salad bar selection while waiting. Drinks were quick, and we were asked if we would like another, which rarely happens these days. If you want fine dining, this is not it, but if you want a good value, honest meal, then this is the place to go. Kids meals were typical fare, but were free if you ordered them a drink, so who can complain about that!!?? Plus they can salad bar themselves silly.Would go again.

Happy with room and services.
Restaurant was a let down, breakfast was good, but dinner meals appeared to be from the frozen section of the supermarket.
Dinner not really good value for money, but everything else was good.

We stayed here for two nights. We arrived at 1.45 p.m. and were able to check in immediately and wanted something small for lunch. The buffet lunch was only open until 2.00 p.m. The staff immediately gave us a table and the chance to have quick bite and, since we had only 15 minutes buffet availability, did not want to charge us for what we ate. A very nice and friendly gesture, for which many thanks.
We were first given room nr. 16; a large bedroom with an old and small shower and badly in need of a renovation. Other rooms were being renovated during our stay.
When we wanted to go to bed, we found that a strong vibration was noticeable in the room. There was no way we could sleep with this noise!
We phoned reception at approx. 10.00 p.m. and within minutes a lady from the reception came with a technician and could not establish the reason for the noise. We were then allocated another room (nr. 42) in a different building. The new room, albeit slightly smaller than our first room, was recently renovated, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom had also been renovated and had a good walk-in shower.
Thanks to the pro-active reaction of the staff our stay here was enjoyable. Thank you!

Room Tip: Make sure you are given a room that has been renovated!

I stayed at the Ibis Styles Albany over Easter and I actually couldn't believe the value . Having stayed there when it was All Seasons, I didn't quite know what to expect but to my amazement it was even better than my previous stay nearly two years ago . The bathrooms have been renovated and are really a great enhancement . The TV's are so large they almost dominate the room . The king beds are so comfy that I didn't want to get out in the morning. But I had to as I had booked the breakfast the Night before and received a discount
Finally the breakfast and dinner prices and the quality of the food are fantastic and a few others should take note .

Tip If you Book breakfast the night before they give you a discount on the Breakfast. Over all a great stay i love going to Albany , and will be back Thank you

Stayed here again and is now an Ibis. New modern bathrooms and big screen TV's in rooms since my last stay. Everything was excellent, staff great and helpful. Rooms very clean and comfortable and love the modern look bathrooms. Went to restaurant and how previous reviewer can grumble about not getting 50% discount when the meals were so cheap escapes me. My partner ordered a Rump steak medium rare with Mushroom sauce and went to the salad and vegetable bar which had a large array of salads and vegetables as well as other meals on the buffet. He said the steak was grilled to perfection. All this for $13.95. I ordered the special the Crumbed Pork Cutlet with the rocket, pear and mint salad and again with the salad and veg bar only cost $15.95 and this was so tender and cooked beautifully. It was very busy the night we went and maybe thats why sometimes people will complain because they do so much business here and some times it doesn't always go to plan. The locals we dined with go there all the time and they think its fantastic and hope that it stays so cheap. We didn't get the chance to try their lunch but our friends indicated that its just as busy at lunch as at night but cheaper....I wish a few places in Perth would take a leaf out of this establishments book. Excellent all round

Room Tip: Try the Restaurant. Fantastic value but recommend that you book.
