“A last minute surprise!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

We drove up desperate for a last minute site after calling literally every park within 100kms!!! The staff were so helpful & flexible and not only fit us in, but in a great little site. Great park, great facilities, fantastic position, clean & tidy. We had a lovely twilight fish about 5 mins walk from our site, in the clearest water ever, & saw massive sting rays, dolphins & an amazing sunset. A lovely last minute surprise!!

We booked last minute over Christmas and Caryn was more than happy to haggle with us over the price of an unpowered site until we were happy despite the obviously full campsite.

On arrival we got a lovely warm friendly greeting, and were walked to our pitch. Being fussy we decided something a little further from the entrance would be more befitting of our snazzy new camping chairs and our request was accommodated with no hassle, we were again walked to the new pitch and offered the most sheltered free space available. The space was big, level and sheltered despite being an amazing 50m from the beach (if you were a seagull).

Ablution blocks are clean and centrally located so not too far to stumble in the middle of the night. Great showers, nice and powerful. A few more sinks ( we only found 2?) for washing up dishes would certainly save the queues in peak time but the cooking facilities were otherwise good. Everytime I looked the toilets or kitchen and even wheelie bins were being scrubbed!

It had a great atmosphere (we are a couple with no kids) but was still quiet by lights out and there were plenty of campsite staff walking around making their presence felt.

Only criticism I have is not of the campsite itself, but the campers - c'mon people, we're sharing the BBQs, I don't want to have to spend 10 mins scraping the dregs of your dinner off the hotplate - clean up after yourselves. You wouldn't leave your own BBQ like that, don't leave the camp one for the staff or other campers to clean!

A few miles down the road is the gorgeous Ledge Beach and Little Beach - highly recommend. Crystal clear waters, beautiful white sand. Like Paradise.

I would certainly recommend a stay at Emu Beach Park and if we go back to Albany we'll stay here. You'll recognise us, we have amazing camp chairs with coolers in the arms...

Room Tip: It is colder with the sea breeze so bring some warm clothes even in summer!

We stayed 6 nights at EMU Beach Holiday Park with our Bushcamper on a powerside ensuite place. All the infrastructur was just great, clean and in a very good condition. The people at the reception were very nice and helpful. The parc is good located for visiting Albany an places like Whaleworld, two people bay, etc. It has a great Barbie and Campkitchen too on this Caravan Parc!!

This is an awesome place, with great facilities. Customer Service is exceptional, they go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay.

Caroyn went over and beyond for me, I organized a message in a bottle (proposal), DVD's and love stones which she kindly received and kept safe until I arrived and needed to bury the bottle. She also found me someone to do my fiancé nails (mobile service) and helped find an amazing photographer.

This is the best customer service I have ever had.

The Studio Spa rooms are clean, nice and big. It has everything you need.

My new Fiancée and myself will certainly come back.

I loved it ;)

My partner and I have been on the road for 7 months and usually love top tourist parks. This park was well over priced for what it was, over $60 for family of 4 for a powered site. The site was on a huge slope that the legs or jockey wheel wouldn't straighten the van. I found the woman at reception patronising and unhelpful with finding us a more suitable site. I recommend the caravan park 400m down the road which is half the price, better grounds and right on the beach. Very disappointed top tourist.

We stopped for two nights on a powered site. We decided due to rain that we'd stay a couple more nights and after discovering on their website that they had a discount offer my husband went to sort it out. He was told that because he hadn't taken this offer out initially they weren't able to change the tariff on the computer and therefore we would have to pay the full rate. When my husband initially paid, he advised the receptionist that we would probably be staying longer but weren't offered this deal. My husband pointed this out but it made no different and no compromise was offered. Clearly you need to be psychic to know about their offers and on their website there is absolutely no mention that this offer only applies on first arrival. My husband advised he would discuss this with me but that we would probably leave but they were more than happy to watch him walk out the door and so clearly didn't want our custom, which we gladly took elsewhere! We have been around the whole of Australia to over 300 campsites in 12 months and never has anyone not been able to change a computer before. Quite unbelievable. If they can't deal with this then don't be optimistic they'll deal with any of your other problems sympathetically!
