“Unwelcoming to visitors”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013 via mobile

Arrived at cafe at 3pm. Told to hurry up as they closed at 3.30pm. Given dirty uncleared table. Unable to order afternoon tea although food was displayed in cabinets. Only drinks available. Made to feel that we were a great inconvenience. Many clean, welcoming places in Albany WA. Avoid Vancouver Cafe.

“Yum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

This was our last morning in Albany and our treat recommended by a friend. We were greeted by a friendly girl who showed our toddler the toys and was very warm. Food wad ordered and delivered very quickly with a smile. Great homemade beans and was a lovely place.

“A friendly welcome to Albany”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013 via mobile

We discovered this delightful neighbourhood cafe, sitting proudly on a corner overlooking the town of Albany, on our first day in town. We proceeded to pop in every day for the subsequent six days for coffee, and on our final day for breakfast. We loved the shabby chic decor, the friendly and welcoming service for visitors and locals alike and the excellent coffee. Alison, the owner, spent ages chatting to us about her upcoming food tour to Vietnam and her commitment to employing people with disabilities. We felt that we were experiencing a little slice of life in Albany. On our final day we popped in for breakfast. The Mega Veg breakfasts were generous and delicious and the Half Mega Breakfast was a generous half. I can't recommend it highly enough.

“Great little spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Went down there with friends on a recent trip to Albany. The steak sandwich is just....wow. I mean you can get a steak sandwich anywhere, but not like this. Absolutely mouthwatering deliciously amazing. If you're down in Albany check it out.

Nice little unassuming place, friendly atmosphere and stuff. BYO also gets a big tick.

Amazing little lunch spot!

“Neighbourhood gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

We found this place through Beanhunter (sorry Tripadvisor). It is a classic neighbourhood cafe/ meeting place/gallery. Alison, the proprietor is the font of all knowledge on things culinary in Albany. The coffee is excellent. The long macchiatos are a special. The food is even better. The mega veg breakfast is probably the best value in WA. This cafe is an essential part of any visit to Albany. Highly recommended.
