“Good for one night”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

I had to stay three days here as my car had to be fixed. For 30 AUD per day I'd expected more than a clinical caravan park that was clean and functional, yes, but without charm whatsoever (including the people at reception). The little herb garden is to mention, though, a nice attention. Other than that, I'd say only good if you drive past and are tired in the evening and need a rest.

How disappointing Olivier. Our park is clean, has everything you need -camp kitchen, free BBQ's and at $30 per night, is very reasonably priced. Yet you rate it 2 out of 5 because of "lack of charm".
Oh, you forgot to mention that we gave you late check out (3pm) at no charge, because your car was still being repaired.

We stayed in a family cabin for one night on our travel back to sydney. The service by the staff was exceptional - we stayed on a very hot day and they rang ahead to check when we would be there to turn on our aircon to cool our room down. But that is where the fun stopped. The family cabin was outdated. On arrival the toilet still had cleaning solution in it and toilet paper from cleaning, and there was rubbish from previous tenants behind the toilet. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and the kids rooms were incredibly hot as there was no fan and even with the door open the aircon did not reach in there, one of the children opted to sleep on the floor in the dinning room just to get some relief from the heat and the uncomfortable bed. The glasses in the cupboard were dirty and it was impossible to get a decent shower with zero water pressure. Overall the room was very disappointing and very noisy with all the traffic from the highway (which is to be expected due to its location). It certainly is not the quality we have come to expect from Big 4.

I stayed here this week while working in the area. I have been working in the region the past 2 months at different locations and decided to give Borderlands a go. Check in at front desk were very helpful and was a very easy process. I stayed in a Family cabin as I wanted the provided linen. Inside the cabin the facilities were great. I have had alot of issues with no hot water at some parks during peak times, but at Borderlands the hot water was very hot and good pressure at all times of the day. Microwave worked well. Did not use stove but seemed in good condition. Bar Fridge worked great, and kept food frozen well in the freezer compartment. Cabin was a good size, the children room was small as stated on their website, but would be fine for children. The double bed was comfortable. TV received all local stations. Telstra wireless internet worked great inside the cabin (another issue I have had in this region) and locked on at 4 bars out of 5. Will stay here again

tThis park offers a kitchen, playground, pool and games room as part of the deal. The amenities are good quality and we found them clean.

The big downside is the noise from the Hume Highway which is only 50 metres from the front entrance. You can hear the trucks all day and night.

We thought a place at the back would overcome this but the TAFE runs industrial fans that are very loud until 10 pm all thru the week.
This is not a place to go for peace and quiet and you may find it difficult to sleep until quite late in the night.

Given the circumstances, $30 for an unpowered site (May 2013) is relatively expensive.

Park managers are pleasant grounds are clean jumping pillow great but lacks shade and pool terrific close to everything. That's where it ends for us booked a deluxe family cabin on arrival the cabin was stinking hot and was not aired out terrible smell from floor drain in bathroom was overpowering until next Morning when we ran the shower reported this but smell had cleared by that time and covering the drain made it bearable .Ok no1 very noisy highway out front made it hard to sleep with truck constantly on the move air brakes incredibly loud .No2 we had a deluxe family cabin far from deluxe bedding our queen size bed was sagging on both sides and rock hard in the middle pillows so thin even folding them did not help pretty much left us tossing and turning the entire stay which we cut short by a day in desperate need of a good nights sleeps .No 3 please be carefully if you have young children there are steel spikes sticking out of the logs around the playground several quite sharp would make a mess of little feet .No 4 the park does have European Wasps hanging around not something we would expect from Big 4 park quite off putting ,hope your stay is better than ours very disappointing visit all-round.

I stayed at this park in January 2013 travelling back home to NSW having been down to Tassie. It is a great place to stay, with well kept facilities, grounds, shady sites and helpful staff. Having stayed at many parks in cabins and now a van this park gets my families thumbs up. Brett and Shell.

Good clean country caravan park. Good amenities block, just recently refurbished and painted. Jumping pillow was a bonus for the kids, they loved it, as they also did the swimming pool.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. We will be back again.
