After reading poor reviews, I was anxious about this choice but we had a pleasant Sunday lunch on 7 April 2013 in the Bistro section. The service could not have been more attentive, prompt, and pleasant. At all times staff seemed eager to ensure we enjoyed our meal. Everything we requested or needed arrived promptly, with warm smiles and a polite enquiry whether we needed anything else, from reception when we were led to our pre-booked table, to providing water, and taking and delivering our drink and meal orders, through to orders for coffee and the bill. The location literally on the sandhills overlooking the sea at Williamstown is outstanding. Of the meals, both serves were large, the barra rated well, and the risotto was creamy, although too oily for my personal preference. The oregano herb pita bread for starters was crisp and tasty. On the downside, the decor is tired and needs renovation, and the prices (essentially, bread, a main and a glass of house wine for $50/head) seemed steep for the quality. However, our experience of the service from maitre d'h and two waitresses couldn't have been any better.
