From the moment we entered the restaurant we were treated with respect. This courtesy, the food, the dining experience were all of the highest calibre. There were no disappointments in the 8 course degustation menu and we loved the break in the meal where we were invited to leave the table to step out on the balcony to select our own sorbets as a palate cleanser, served directly by the passionate chef from an old style 'Ice Cream Trolley'.
We have been to this restaurant under the previous ownership/chef and feel that Woodland House is better. It retains the same level of professionalism and quality that it's had for years but has a slightly more modern feel.
Very worthy of a special night/celebration dinner. Definitely one of the best formal dining experiences we have had anywhere......
