“Decent scenery but not overly pleasant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Walked along riverfront and across to Griffiths Island - quite scenic and interesting views - didn't see a lot of the native birds (shearwaters?) other than a number of dead birds on the path plus the large number of flys was a bit off-putting - turned around at lighthouse rather than continuing on beach side

“A mixture of natural reserve & crashing waves.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

We walked around the island, about 30min, on a beautiful spring day. The bird life is worth the walk alone. The walk is easy although good shoes are necessary.

“Wallabies!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Take a walk through this special area, watch for wallabies and marvel at the crashing waves. Particularly quiet and peaceful at dawn and dusk. Signs indicate return walk by beach difficult, but providing you take your time you'll see some of Australia's most interesting coast up close.

“A nature walk and easy to do”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

What a great little spot, the mutton birds had just returned, sadly a few not making the final bit ( after 15,000 km).
If in Port fairy it is right there very natural, lovely light house , fresh sea breeze and invigorating but not exhausting walk.

“Nice walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

We took the walk around via the mutton bird viewing platform and spent a while near the lighthouse.
Lovely walk, spotted a black wallaby on the way.
