“Bad service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Having read some good reviews thought we would give this cafe a go but we had a bad experience at this cafe. The lady making the coffee and tea was arrogant. Producing good food (in this case mediocre) is half of the equation, treating your paying customers well and giving us a good experience is equally as important. Hope you learn from this and improve your attitude. You have lost me as a referrer.

Thank you for taking the time to review us.
Your comments are noted and you obviously must have had a bad experience.
It is disappointing that we have lost you as a customer, we don't like to lose any customers, but assume from your comments, that absolutely nothing met your needs, which is not echoed by any other reviewer.
Perhaps a square peg in a round hole?

“Best breakfast in Australia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

Traditional Scottish breakfast is an absolute gem! Best black pudding and Lorne Sausage I've tasted outside of Scotland! Staff are an absolute gem and so very welcoming. Love it love it love it. There is even a Rastafarian Dog for additional character! Must visit!

What can we say.
Our Traditional Scottish Breakfast has proved a winner again.
Many of the ingredients, we make ourselves and those that we can't do well enough, we source from outside quality makers as we do with our entire menu.
I would be telling a 'porky' if I said I was not personally thrilled with your review but it is everyone here who makes up Clonmara Tea Rooms and everyone who ensures that your experience is achieved again and again.
Thank you vedry much

“Must eat here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

Read the reviews on TA so thought we'd try it. So glad we did. We had a great experience and the locals love it too, they think the're spoilt to have such an eatery and they are! Food was exceptional, good size serves, we're big eaters and we only just did it. Had a variety of the breakfast options all on rye bread. Finished off with scones only because we knew we wouldn't be back this way for a while. Kid friendly, they had colouring in to do while we waited which was great! Owners very helpful with what to do and see in the area. Genuinely lovely down to earth people. If you want exceptionally good, hearty food at very reasonable prices at a comfortable and hospitable venue you just couldn't get any better. Just wish it wasn't 650 km away from home.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review us.
It is not easy travelling with children as we know only too well.
When children are well mannered and behaved, it is just so easy to assist, to ensure that they also have a good experience.
It seems we managed to really nail your needs and we are thrilled to have been able to do so and persuaded you to leave Port Fairy with lots of fond memories.
Please come back

“A must go for any visit to Port Fairy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

My wife and I went here one day for afternoon tea. Menu was so tempting we had to return for lunch for the next day. All the food was great. Scones were cooked fresh and Ploughman's lunch was out of this world! The meals were a credit to the hosts who were both lovely people. Highly recommended and can't wait to go back!

Thank you.
How do we top this one?
We must continue to strive to improve and not assume we are there.
We take absolute delight in looking after patrons who really enjoy themselves, it makes much easier to know that we are doing the right thing and that we have happy customers coming through Port Fairy.
Please come again and try one of our other specialities.
Thank you from all of the staff

Wow!
Some review.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. It really helps us to ensure that we are doing the right thing.
We are fairly small so cannot be all things to all people but do specialise in what we do and hope we do it well.
Again, that you, we will not rest, we will continue to improve and hope you will visit us again.
From all of us - A big Thank You
