“Brilliant value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

I booked a motel room here at the very last minute, mainly because it was the cheapest available. I expected very little, but was absolutely amazed when I arrived. What I expected to be a tiny motel room, was a two bedroom unit with kitchen, sofa, TV and large bathroom. It was more than adequate for our one night stay. Located within walking distance of the Main Street in Port Campbell, and perfectly nestled amongst the main sites of the Great Ocean Road. The room felt very new and clean. I can't recommend highly enough!! Five stars!

We booked a 2 bedrooms luxury apartment even if we were just 2 but was the last available.
To be a motel, it's a great great place. The apartment is nice and elegantly furnished, very spacious and comfortable, with a nice large kitchen and table, sofa area with TV and a second floor with the bedrooms and the bathroom. The bed is comfy and nice.
The place is clean, tidy and very new or recently refurbished.
The host was very nice and informative, check in and check out quick and efficient.
5 Star place.

We were told an email confirmation would be coming after we gave them VISA information to book a room. Went ahead and began travelling around Australia and continued to check email...nothing. Finally, 2 days out from driving the Ocean Road to Port Campbell, we finally got ahold of a real person and were told there was no record of our arrival. Even though they tried to help find alternative lodging, it pretty much ruined our last few days in Australia and since we will probably never have the opportunity to be in Australia again, that stinks! Our fault for giving them "time" to process our reservation. But bad on them for giving us a verbal confirmation on the phone and then not actually making the booking. So...verify ASAP when making a booking with them.

We are terribly sorry that you are so angry, however we have no evidence to suggest a reservation was made here at Parkview.
We value and understand the importance of travellers pre-booking arrangements and we take a great deal of care with all bookings and confirmations.
As part of our professional and efficient service, we have a number of checks and balances to ensure that enquiries and bookings are thoroughly processed. Due to it being a peak season, we were fully booked on the day you requested, we had been for quite some time.
Yes indeed, we were concerned of your plight. We often aid travellers in finding alternative accommodation when they too find themselves in this situation. We are sorry that you did not decide to book with the various other motels that we found for you on the day you requested.
The Great Ocean Road is truly magnificent, and Port Campbell is the perfect stop over destination to rest from the journey. We have a wide variety of quality accommodation facilities in the town and we are sorry that you cancelled your trip on this occasion.

Stayed here after walking the Great Ocean Road (8 days of packing it all in and out, over 100 kms) so in all honesty we would have been pretty easy to please just being able to have a shower and do laundry! But the staff went over and above making our stay very memorable. My sister had contacted the hotel from Canada and Tanya went over and above expectations to arrange local wine, cheese & chocolates from my sister to be delivered to our room on arrival - a very welcome treat after 8 days hiking and also a milestone birthday for me! Very spacious rooms with everything you could need and a lovely sunny spot sitting outside our room to enjoy said wine and cheese. A perfect finish to an amazing scenic hike. We will be back!

Stayed here four nights. On arrival, the hostess greeted us and present a Map and Disabled Access Guide for the area without being asked. This was very thoughtful.

Apartment was next to reception, all on one level and spacious. The disabled bathroom had rails in the shower and by the toilet. The fixed shower seat was very good. Also, there was a freestanding adjustable shower stool for taller people. Mixer tap was a bonus in the shower. There was also a spa in the apartment with a rail that we didn't try. Two bedrooms are great when you holiday with your father/carer.

The view from the apartment is across the road to the back of the garage but you can't do much about the neighbours and there are many natural attractions to explore nearby anyway.

Being slightly off the main road, it was nice and quiet.

Free use of the laundry also adjacent to our apartment was appreciated.

Parking spot was as close as possible to the apartment. If you drive into the parking spot and the person with the disability is on the passenger side, please be aware, there is a rockery alongside the car and if you use a wheelchair be careful as there is a drop down to the reception and apartment level. This can be overcome either by dropping the wheelchair user before parking the vehicle or if room, moving the wheelchair user to the back of the car and down a few metres along the driveway to the reception level. Hope this helps.

Staff were very friendly and obliging. Can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Disabled apartment was great. There were also two storey apartments on site, which probably had the...

After a full day drive along the Great Ocean Road, we were pleased to arrive at the Port Campbell Parkview. We had the motel suite, quite simple, but anyway very comfortable, quiet, and spacious, with kitchenette (microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge) and tv.
The small outdoor table on the side veranda is a good idea. Free wifi is a nice add-on too.

And this is already more than enough for a reasonnable price. Not to mention friendly welcome upon arrival.

Going to the seafront by foot requires less than 10 minutes. Not much choice for dinner (was mid November, you'll probably find more in mid summer), but were happy with the pub fare from the 12 Rocks cafe with a good view onto the beach.

Thanks to trip advisor we decided to stay here. I called Taylor and he gave me advice on the type of unit and also booked the quietest one for us. Check-in was easy. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment - our friends had the bedroom with queen bed and we took the room with 2 singles. The beds are upstairs (with air con available) and were very comfortable. Downstairs is the kitchen, lounge (with couches). There is also a toilet downstairs with the main bathroom upstairs - spa bath. Wifi is included and worked well.

I'd recommend taking supplies as the local shops don't open until late - there is a huge fridge and the apartment is well equipped for cooking. Restaurants in Port Campbell are expensive and not that great.

Room Tip: Up the back of the property
