i would not stay here again if they paid me!!! the rooms were filthy, mould on bathroom tiles, plugs full of hair and toe nail clippings on the lounge carpet. the furniture was stained and dated, the cups in kitchen not cleaned. the only response we got from the staff was they used an outside cleaning company. if it was my hotel i,d sack them all and get staff who care about their job and presentation of their place of work. if you want a proper 4+ star accommodation use the Sebal Deep Blue at Warrnambool. its vastly superior and cheaper with staff that really care

Room Tip: don,t stay here. if you are in Lorne find an apartment across the road.

I stayed here on a conference and was delighted to be upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment as it was very spacious.

Loved the location and service.

It is a lovely place to stay.

Only downfall is the cleaning was not up to scratch.

Went to plug my phone on charge to find a pile of dead bugs and dust behind furniture

Dead Bugs on windows.

Shower was not cleaned properly

Outdoor setting had never been cleaned!!

Folding doors and curtains were dirty.

If they can sort out cleaning issue this place would be perfect.

To enjoy our stay we booked 2 x 1 bedroom Ocean View Apartments on the beachfront. Ideal for our specific getaway with parents. The girls on reception were happy, cheery and welcoming, the rooms just perfect with views & sounds of the waves on Lorne beachfront. Amenities were terrific for our family & noticed also ideal for young families with pool, tennis, croquet (not seen since school) and golf green. We opted for the Christmas Lunch overlooking the gardens and did not have high expectations..as we'd always prepared a traditional hot Christmas lunch. But, the day, the lunch and environment was superb! Staff were also terrific. Book early for specials and you won't regret it - oh and book an ocean view, the sound of the sea made it!

Room Tip: Corner rooms with balcony with sea view best. Some studio apartments also have a long view to the Lo...

We stayed in two interconnecting rooms which were very small, not prepared or cleaned properly.
Dishwasher rails worn out, hardly to be opened.
Broken chairs on balcony, old cobwebs, a lot of dust on tiles, not permitted car parking on driveway blocking apartments bays parking.
Management alerted to standard but ignored complaints, shortages of toiletries, towels, very tight crowded parking.
Interior very poor for 4&1/2 star, very basic furniture, dirty carpet and bathrooms.
Overall very disappointing accommodation.
Nowhere near advertised standard.
Definitely not recommended, waste of money.
In our opinion we should be compensated for substandard accommodation at top prices.

Room Tip: This resort is not recommended no matter which room you would choose. Management and housekeeping i...

The key selling point of this venue is its beachfront location - 30 second walk to the ocean. One bedroom apartment was well appointed, however in line with other feedback housekeeping seems to be off the mark. Issues included:

For example:
- Ashtray full of cigarettes on balcony
- Dead fly on windowsill, food crumbs and dead moth on the floor
- Towel provided had brown stains all over it (fake tan if i had to guess) whoever folded this must have been blind to not notice
- questionable as to how well the toilet and bathroom had been cleaned

Otherwise, lots of room for activities - tennis courts, bowls, swimming lap pool

Did not eat on site so cant comment on food - strongly suggest they review the housekeeping setup.

Good morning & thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback.

We are very pleased that our location, the appointment of furniture in the rooms and our amenities were to your liking. We are still working with our Housekeeping provider to improve the quality and level of cleanliness and your feedback shows that we still have some ways to go on some occasions. Please accept my apologies for this.

We are also pleased to hear that you enjoyed the onsite facilities, the are a great feature of the property.

Many thanks again for your feedback.

The location is beautiful - nice and close to beach shops etc. The accommodation was a little disappointing - we stayed for one night and it was very expensive and the hotel room was very 'dated'!

Good afternoon & thank you for taking the time to post your review.

We have recently completed the 2nd phase of our renovations in the apartments & are looking at opportunities around Erskine House - the original building around which the resort is built. Being built in 1868 & the oldest operating guest house on the Great Ocean Road we are wanting to maintain the heritage of this beautiful old building.

I am sorry that you did not enjoy the current standard of room presentation; Erskine House is the preferred choice for many of our guests due to the high ceilings & history. I do hope that you will join us on another occasion & possibly make use of one of our Resort Apartments which have an open plan design and take in the surroundings of the 12 Acres of gardens & ocean front location.

Kind regards
Simon
