“Not another over priced dirty hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

Sitting here looking at the broken glass I had to drink out of, the broken sharp knife I couldnt use, a threating notice saying if I dont take my rubbish with me then I will FINED and someones left over rubbish shoved under the cushions of the sofa.
On top of that it is freezing. The lounge might be warm but the bedrooms are freezing, no electric blankets in sight.
I am tired of paying more than $180 a night for places like this advertising themselves as a four star resort when really I would be very generous if I gave it 3 stars.

There is nothing worse than staying at an accomodation where you have to clean the surfaces before using them. Yes our tables etc had left over coffee cup stains on it which we had to clean. God only knows what is growing in the bathrooms and if the toilet seats have even been wiped. Everytime I touch something in this unit I sanitize....its disgusting.

So I have had enough. You provide me with a dirty and unclean apartment when I have paid good money to stay expecting it to be clean and you are going to get review from me that will turn customers away.

If you want some free advice, dont stay here you are wasting your money. You would be better off giving your money to the people who work hard and provide you with clean accommodation than fee

Room Tip: Find somewhere else to stay, somewhere clean.

Dear Mamamia64

Thank you for posting your review and your comments in relation to your recent stay with us, albeit not very complimentary. I can appreciate your obvious disappointment, which is possibly the same feeling shared and experienced by myself and the team when reading your review. I both personally and professionally appreciate your comments which are invaluable to us as a team, when reviewing our overall operational performance of both staff and property alike. A review such as yours is definitely accepted as constructive and these details become crucial to assisting us in our endeavours to improve both our property presentation and service level to our guests. Stayed here now a few times....great location, walking distance to cowes and a great path to run on towards San Remo if you're a jogger. Onsite facilities good with onsite pizzeria and cafe (shame cafe isn't open in the afternoons for a coffee!) loved it so much I bought into the residents club!

‘So Good that I Bought One’! ……What a great review, I don’t believe that anyone could ask for a greater recommendation than that. Congratulations on your purchase. Thank you also for your comments in relation to our Food & Beverage facilities in particular to your reference re: our Café which is currently operating under our winter month’s program. These operating hours are traditionally extended during the summer season. Thank you again for the review and it was our pleasure to be of service to you during your stay.

Room was great overall, thank you

However there were a few issues that needed addressing that made some of the stay inadequate
1) tv reception poor, tried to help us but it is poor where we are staying,
2) no spa, reception kept on promising it would be open, did not see anyone trying to repair
3) lack of cleaning materials such as basics like dust pan
4) reception promise but do not deliver
Thanks
A Portman

Thank you for taking the time to provide your review and feedback, your comments are of a great benefit to our team, when we review our service delivery and continually evaluate our property presentation etc’. May I also take this opportunity to apologise for those ‘little’ things that have not met with your expectations whilst staying with us. These issues should have been addressed by our housekeeping and maintenance teams upon your request, I am truly disappointed that this was not the case and will discuss this with our teams with the intention of improving our service level to our guests. Thank you for choosing to stay with us here at Ramada Resort – Phillip Island and we trust that we may have the opportunity to be of service to you in the future.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a scoupon deal. Lovely clean compact accommodation with a nice sense of privacy. We felt very welcome by the staff in reception and bistro restaurant. Didn't use the pool but his looks a treat for the summer together with the undercover bar for drinks while the sun goes down. Walking distance to the town but not a walk after dark with no street lights to illuminate the path made more difficult when it rains! This is a disappointment as the walk facilitates drinks in the town without the need to drive or chase down a cab. That being said, this is a place well worth a visit and we will return.

Room Tip: For convenience select accomodation close to entrance/reception if you want to walk into the town as...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

We had two nights over a winter weekend that we picked up at a keen price on the net. Apartments are all well separated with bush and trees, so you really do not hear anyone else. No hearing your neighbors banging doors, noisy showers or flushing toilets like you often get in city hotels.

We booked a one bed apartment and got a two. Not sure why. They are a little dated but still very functional. Note - we noticed our unit had no air conditioning. Not a problem for us as it rained all weekend and the gas fire was great, but the unit could get warm over summer.

We dined at the restaurant one night and had pizza from the adjacent pizzeria the other. The restaurant was fine although the courses were basically delivered one after another which made for a quick meal. We arrived at 630 and were out by 730 - and that was for 3 courses. Pizza's were great. Staff efficient and friendly at both places. Note - when we stayed other than Saturday night only one or the other is open. Maybe ring in advance to allow for your meal planning if you are dining in.

Staff were friendly and efficient on check in. We will definitely be back if the price is right

Resort was nice, good location and staff were very friendly and helpful. Recieved a $30 voucher for the resorts restraurant and pizzeria. However, got to our room, we had booked a 1 bedroom villa, received a a villa with 2 bedrooms and a cot (a bit confused as to why we recieved that) but not complaining. Bathroom and shower were quite small too, and upon check out you need to empty your own rooms bins and replace the bag to Avoid a cleaning fee Thought that was a bit strange for a resort.. Staff were really quite nice and good location.
