“Interesting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

It was interesting walking around this park and we got to see a few koalas but not many at all. Self guided and at your own pace. Nice bush walk but more trees than anything else. Kids got bored quickly and did not spend more than a couple of hours here.

“It's fun looking for koalas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

You spend of the time looking up from tree to tree - searching for koalas. In some spots we got to see koalas close-up and saw one with a baby. Lovely!

“Close Encounter with Koalas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

This Centre is on the main road through Phillip Island and is easy to find. The Visitors' Centre has an interesting display, which is worth attention before you go into the forest area. There are several routes, all clearly marked e.g. Koala Boardwalk, the Woodland Boardwalk - both quite short and also a longer route that we didn't have time to do. Most of the koalas were high in the trees but a few were much lower, sleeping on branches quite close to the boardwalk so we were able to photograph them more easily. This seems to be an important conservation centre and we were pleased to see and support its work.

“Koalas close up”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

lovely to get close to the Koalas, not very many and so only need just over an hour to visit, but still worth it even though you cannot touch them in Victoria compared to NSW.

“Lots of koalas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Easy to find on the main Cowes road. Well signed.

If you like cute koalas, then this is the place for you. There are plenty of them about, though as always, you might have to be patient and search for them. There are a number of walkways in the trees, which gets you right in amongst them. We saw quite a few close up. they are not the most active of creatures, so often they are snoozing, but we were able to see a few moving about and close up.
