“sooo great!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

it's such a huge area and you get extremely close to a very big number of animals. it's great to see many many kangaroos moving around and you can feed even the big ones. my personal favourites were the wombats...you can get really close to them too. don't get there too late...you need plenty of time to see everything!

“Disgusting”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Animals seem to have little attention from their caretakers. Many displays were closed or looked completely neglected. Some animals, in particular the birds of prey, have very restrictive habitats. The only staff we saw was an unfriendly woman behind a cash register in the gift shop/entrance and a groundskeeper who only seemed to be there to care for the grounds and not the animals. There is Zero education or information and the only informative guides are old, sun-bleached printouts taped to the door of the entrance.

The 'gift shop' gives the same impression as a the retail section of a truck stop, complete with cobweb infested 'dining area'. The restrooms provide further evidence of neglect as they smell like they haven't been cleaned in years!

Australian has an abundance of wildlife parks, most of which are dedicated to the care of the animals and educating the public while providing an enjoyable experience. The Philip Island Wildlife Park is a dirty, unkempt, neglected, and disgusting prison for Australian wildlife which will allow you to gawk at suffering animals for $16.

Not only should you NOT visit this horrible facility, but it should be closed and the animals relocated.

“Take the kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

Our kids ave loved this park all there lives. You can feed the animals and walk among them freely. Take your lunch and have a picnic while there, the kids will love it, so will you. Recommend this park even after 25 years of going here. Still love it.

“this could be so much better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

this really seems to be a place short on "love", with a little TLC it could be so much more. Even the entrance is not attractive but inside it is better and a good way to get "up close and personal" with Australian animals.
