“Phillip Island Wildlife Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

I took 4 French exchange students to the Phillip Island Wildlife Park. They all agreed that it was the highlight of their trip to Australia. They were able to feed and pat the Kangaroos, get close to Koalas and see many Australian native animals - some of which they had never even heard of or read about before (eg wombats). They also learnt that the Tasmanian devil looks nothing like the spinning creature depicted in the Bugs Bunny cartoons.
I highly recommend this attraction for international visitors. It is great value for money!

“Not too impressed! Sydney much better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Sydney much better and less commercialized! Cost for photos and anything you wanted to do. Sydney much better and much
more animals. Did it because part of a tour. Do not waste your money to go by itself

“Best wildlife park I have ever been to.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

And I have been to a lot of zoos, parks, sanctuaries etc. I'm a huge animal lover.
There is a good balance of being able to interact with the animals while taking care of the animals best interests. You can tell the place is owned by people that really care for the animals. Its the best $16 you can spend. Me and the boyfriend loved it so much we went there twice while holidaying in Phillip Island. We loved it all but were especially enchanted by the cassowaries, wombats and kangaroo joeys. We went during winter and the advantage was that the kangaroos were more energetic and didn't just lie down the whole time.

“Wildlife up close”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

We saw a lot of animals up close. It was nice to see them all in one park. The kangaroos and wallabies were very friendly and we were able to hand feed them. There were several overseas visitors on our tour and it was nice to see them interact with them. There were many dingoes. It was nice to get close to the Koalas as they were sleeping in the trees very close to the boardwalk.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

This was amazing. Best $16 i've ever spent. First time in Australia & seeing Kangaroos, so I might be a bit biased but I had a blast. Walking around with big & small Kangaroos, seeing all sorts of local wildlife - wombat, koalas, eagles, turtles, cockatoo's - it was lovely. All the kangaroos just come up to you and gently eat out of your hand. You're given 1 bag of food free, per person. Beware of the emu's, scary as hell, but might be because I'm not a fan of birds and these guys are huge.
