5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Our only regret was due to time constraints we could only stay one night, what wonderful accommodation we stayed in the chimney cottage the bed was great and warm,it was hard to get out for the beautiful breakfast that was delivered on time, home made yogurt and jams lovely. Anne was a lovely host and the accommodation is a credit to her and her team.

We stayed here on our recent (delayed) honeymoon. It was wonderful - warm, cosy and it felt like home. The breakfasts were stunning and the 'maid' was prompt :-)

Anne is delightful and be sure to check out the shop - quite an eclectic range of arts and crafts to be admired and/or purchases.

Room Tip: We were in the Chimney Cottage and it was delightful

My wife and I stayed 3 nights mid week in the Chimney Cottage. Each morning we were greeted by lovely home made jams with a different yummy breakfast each day. The whole cottage was much bigger than I was expecting as the images on the website don't show the whole room. Great starting point to travel to all different parts of the north coast and is close to beautiful locations and yummy food attractions. Anne made our stay truly wonderful and gave us excellent advice to make the most of our time at Deloraine.

My sister, brother in law & my 8 year old granddaughter & I had a very pleasant stay at Bowerbank on April 4th. A beautiful building with wonderful antique furnishings. Ann is a wonderful hostess, very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was delicious including the best yoghurt I've ever tasted.

Easter weekend getaway was as perfect as it could be with Deloraine 60's Cottage. We landed pretty late in the night and Anne was a perfect host, taking us through the whole of the house and giving us tips for our 3 day stay at Deloraine. Waking up to a perfect morning with the beautiful view from every room at the cottage, especially the kitchen and living, it was just what we needed. The cottage was tastefully done with the 60's imprint every where yet modern in its outlook, not to forget Merlin Monroe portraits bringing life to the cottage. The breakfast and homemade jam were just awesome, I wish we could buy some.

Over all, the Cottage was excellent with excellent service and the travel tips by Anne comes free with it. Thanks Anne and JD for this beautiful experience. We wish you the best for times to come :-)

Anne showed us to Meander cottage and was extremely thorough in her demonstration of the quirky nature of the cottage - make sure you are not in a hurry as takes about 15 minutes.

If looking for something authentic and/or lover of bears and old knick knacks you won't be dissappointed. Bed was very confortable for an antique. Whilst upstairs the two single beds are small, but our daughter stated she had a confortable sleep.

Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning, prior to Anne delivering her special breakfast, However she did drop off our breakfast ingredients - being lovely yogurt made with real homegrown strawberries, croissants and 3 types of homemade jam, bread, juice and cereals

Certainly worth the experience if needing accommodation in the Deloraine vacinity.

Driving towards Bowerbank Mill you realise you will be staying somewhere special. The building is beautiful with a fantastic chimney on the end.I loved the garden with its laden apple trees as you walk in. On entry you step into a gorgeous gallery filled with unique pieces, jewellery, artwork and lovely knitted products. After climbing the stairs we entered our beautifully restored Miller Suite with the four poster bed and lovely wrought iron 2nd bedroom too. Every detail reflects a bygone era of gracious living. There are fresh roses, port & chocolates, perfume for the ladies and men's cologne in the bathroom, antique furnishings throughout, books and magazines to read.
The gourmet breakfast was delicious, home-made preserves, hot croissants, juice, compote, delicious youghurt with strawberries & home grown fruit all beautifully presented and the menu changed daily.
Anne made our stay so special, she is a delightful hostess and shared a lot of the buildings' history with us.Even offering us a guided tour of the stunning bedrooms available on the floor above. We'd also like to thank Anne for the restaurant suggestions in Deloraine... we enjoyed them all.
Our stay at Bowerbank Mill was a wonderful experience that we will treasure. We will highly recommend anyone visiting the area to stay in this special place.
