Can only comment on the rooms facing the sea, the view is stunning from the small, individual terraces, ideal for a quiet drink and a chat late in the afternoon. The room we stayed in was a studio type, quite small but appeared to have been only recently renovated, and the quality of the renovation, fittings etc was very good and quite stylish, particularly the bathroom...the only problem, and quite a common one from my experience, very little space to put toiletries etc. We travelled in the school holidays, and I would say that value for money I have stayed in better places, but really, for that view I have no complaints. I would definately stay there again, no problem.

I have just run a two day conference at this Motel with 30 delegates and I must say that the service that was provided by the management and staff has of a very high standard. I was certainly happy with all aspects of this centre for what we trying to achieve. Very comfortable rooms, great food and great service was provided for a very reasonable cost. Not may places on the East Coast can boast that sort of praise in my opinion and I have tried several over the years.

Beachfront at Bicheno is a good motel, clean, great view of the water across the road, easy to find and has an attached hotel and bistro.
The room is on a slightly smaller size than your normal motel, which isn't a problem if you are just staying overnight but for longer stays I would have liked to be able to turn the two seater lounge around to enjoy the view, however there wasn't enought room.
Price wise, this was the dearest and smallest accommodation we had in rural Tasmania over our two weeks touring at $150 per night.

This is a lovely motel style property on a gorgeous part of the Tasmanian coast. My room was spacious the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was modern and the amenities were first class.

It is obviously aimed at the holiday market. The view from my room (over the beach) made it a delight to sit outside in the enclosed courtyard/balcony area. Add superb weather (not always guaranteed in Tasmania) and they have a formula for success.

My only criticisms were the free Wi-Fi really didn't work very well, in fact I couldn't get a signal at all in either my room or the conference room, and when a couple of guests on my table at dinner asked for another breadroll, the answer was that "they only allowed for one per person".

But for those things the property would have rated even better.

Spacious and comfortable and nice and quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly. Cute little town and good location to explore the entire East Coast. The local pizza place (Pork's place) was good and great value.

The staff are friendly and helpfully,we have stayed here about 5 times now. The rooms are immaculate and have every comfort including electric blankets which even on the East Coast are needed in winter! Rooms have heat pumps and well appointed bathrooms. Parking is outside your unit.

Room Tip: Newer refurbished rooms facing beach best as have views and balcony area.

Weather was beautiful, view was stunning but some things were just not as they should have been. Each water front room has its own courtyard with table & chairs to soak up the atmosphere but our table & chairs were covered in food refuse from a previous tenant. I went to reception and was given a cloth to clean it up. There was no instructions on how to use the TV remote so as to be able to watch pay TV, reception closed early so couldn't get instructions but was able to work it out by experimenting. Beds were very firm and the vibe we received from staff was we were a hinderance.
Maybe I'm being too critical, but compared to the treatment of the other Motels, this was lacking.
