“Much more than a fish and chip shop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

Very tasty food - more than just a normal fish and chip shop. Fresh seafood options as well as the usual fried food plus some other menu choices such as seafood chowder. The winning feature of the place is the large deck overlooking the water. It is a lovely place to take your family and sit while you watch the happenings on the water and eat your meal.

“Fabulous Seafood Spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

This place is, at first sight, a Fish and Chip Shop, however, lurking out the back is a great big area of tables and chairs, bulk wine-coolers, gazebo areas all perched on the bank of a river and a pontoon where their own trawler moors-up.
Seriously the best seafood we have eaten in years as fair-dinkum "foodies". Simply choose your fresh fish or whatever from a big menu and for an additional $6.00 have it presented on a huge plate featuring two or three varieties of salad plus copious wonderful chips. Order, sit out the back drinking until your number is called for you to collect your meal.
Our mixed oysters were fabulous and followed by my Reef Fish plate and Bev's Snapper meal.
Dozen oysters were $20.00 and our meals $32.00 - BYO and they supply soft drinks if required along with most other bit's you may require. Even hamburgers and stuff for the poor individuals who can't tolerate the food's of the sea.
Des Stewart who owns the business is "as dry as" but a charming host along with his "girls" who know exactly what to do in preparing the food - lovely ladies into the bargain.
A serious"must visit" about 7 minutes drive from Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast.
NOTE - take the "Rid" with you.

“If you like your seafood fresh, this is the place to be!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

I've eaten here many times and the value for money and service is excellent. The place is always packed but that doesn't mean waiting forever for your food.
