“one of my favourite on the coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

This is become one of our favourite on the coast. Me and my husband often visit caloundra and never miss going to indiyum. We mostly order vegetarian food and we are never disappointed. I like to order the paneer tikka masala (medium) perfect for me and my husband also we like the flavours of the biriyani. The staff is very friendly, well trained and go that extra mile to make you happy. The chef is very happy to meet the customers and very colourful restaurant. I can say only that A PERFECT PLACE TO DINE IN.

“Food ok, shame about the service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

We booked this for 8 people a good 2 months out, table was good, food was good except for the chicken tikka which had a taste of peanut butter and tomato. The staff were consistantly abrupt and seemed as if they did not understand our orders. However the food came out ok, if a bit randomly, and all the other food was nice. One of the lamb chop orders was forgotten and the extra order came out pretty rare. Agree with a previous review - felt like we were ushered off and not offered deserts or coffees, we would have liked that, but instead we had to go elsewhere - their loss. Felt as though the staff required some communication training. Would probably go again and just get takeaway as the curries were nice. Just a note, the curries are not as hot as they tell you, so go for the hotter version.

“Nice food but the service is questionable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

I love a good dose of Indian food, but I wasn't really given the chance at Indiyum. About 15 minutes after we received our food, the lights were switched off (it was 8pm..) and then 15 minutes after that a waitress asked if we wanted to pay at our table or at the register. I would've loved to order a tea and dessert but was never given the chance or even offered. Hmm ..
The food, on the other hand, was nice. Nothing to rave on and on about but it was a very nice curry. Probably wouldn't go back to dine in, but would consider take-away.

“Great food. Great service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

We hadn't made any reservations for dinner while holidaying in Caloundra, and just wandered around instead. We stumbled upon Indiyum fairly late for dinner, but the staff were more than happy to accommodate us. We didn't have to wait long, and the food was delicious! All the staff were friendly, and the venue has a nice relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend eating here if you love Indian cuisine. We will be going back next time we're in the area.

Very nice restaurant, very extensive menu and great food. BYO wine. Love the lamb chops! Service was good and the chef came to our table to check we were happy with the food.
