“Very accommodating however +”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

On website the park stated under amenities they had a "public swimming pool" however the pool was privately owned, you had to pay to use it + was 100m away! Despite this; great amenities and location.

Thank you for your review.

Please accept our apologises for the information on our website regarding the public pool. You are correct it is just across the road from our park and a small fee is required as it is not part of our Tourist Park. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will look at having this updated asap.

We are pleased that you thought our location and amenities were great.

Thank you again for taking the time to review our park.

Kind Regards

We are staying on a powered site, the park is in an excellent location - walking distance to great village shops and restaurants and the beach is directly across the road. You need only stagger across the road to 'Nook' for a great coffee and sit by the beach :-). The caravan park is spotless, amenity block is huge, modern, new and clean. Excellent family shower/toilets. The BBQ's are spotless and clean. There is a mixture of full sun and shade sights. Kids activities are run everyday in the holidays including: movie nights, craft, pizza night, singing, farm animal visits and coloring in competition (which my daughter excitedly won today - they even phoned us to say she won and was given a generous prize to her delight). The staff couldn't be more helpful. The park sits beside a busy main road, so there is road noise it's not an issue and its fenced in and perfectly safe but best to tell people in case they are expecting a silent, national park type experience. But you honestly couldn't get a better or more convenient location for a tourist park in the heart of the G.C! There are resident 'bush stone curlews' in the park which we were amazed to see in a built up area, there are also ibis and brush turkeys a-plenty which we love. We'll be sad when our holiday ends but we'll definitely stay here again. :-)

Thank you for your great review.

We are very pleased to hear that you are enjoying your holiday with us. Thank you for your comments on the cleanliness of our park. We will certainly pass on your feedback to all of our team.

Our location is certainly one of the best on the Gold Coast. Great cafes, restaurant’s all within a short stroll and the magnificent Burleigh Beach is just across the road.

Enjoy the activities on offer for the remainder of the holidays and hopefully we will see you in the near future.

Thank you again for taking the time to write your review.

Kind Regards

The room was large, basic and not clean. We let the office know the following:
1. Blinds broken
2. Rubbish bins full
3. Washing machine handle broken off and not balanced and smashing into walls

They apologised although there wasn’t an offer to come empty bins, fix the blind or washing machine.

After we left I received a phone call from the tourist park. Very RUDE saying we had broken blinds etc.… I was shocked and said "No, we have already let you know about those problems"….

She kept insisting that we had made the room ”disgusting” I became upset and asked her to "SHUT UP, so I can explain that we had let them know about those issues!"

She made fun of me and laughed saying she will talk over me because I wasn’t listening to her. She said what sort of people leave a place in such a way! When I asked for her manager she said I can pretend to be the manager if you want me to and continued to talk at me… I was very upset by this time and hung up the phone on her.

Disgusting service and very average accommodation.

The Burleigh Beach Tourist Park has been fantastic. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The amenities are clean, fresh and the showers hot. Our sites were ideal, located close to amenities, bbq area and are a perfect size.
The park is located right in the heart of Burleigh with the beach, shops, restaurants and cafes just a short flat walk away.

I rate camp sites (actually pretty much everywhere) on the cleanliness of the toilets/showers.
This place was fantastically clean, based on that alone I will def be back. The location is perfect, the staff very helpful and the whole place well presented. My only surprise was that the unpowered tent sites were up some steps, so next time we will pay for power to be on the flat. That said the sites were nice, so with less 'stuff' we would have been fine!

We needed somewhere to leave our small caravan close to a conference at Broadbeach. The staff were great, our neighbours friendly and welcoming and the facilities excellent. In particular the free to ais TV cable outlet on the power box was fantastic. The location is a real plus - on the beach side of the highway, right next to a small national park and within easy walking disatnce of plenty of shops and eateries.

As usual our stay at Burleigh was everything we have become used to and this year reached new heights. New managers Dave and Kim provided patrons of the park with quality entertainment and catered functions that ensured more people interacted which made our stay more enjoyable.
The office staff were professional in all the dealings we had or I should say my wife had, because Chez looks after admin tasks but Tenille the postie was a cheerful member of the staff who deserves a special mention.
I do have a small gripe and that is the temperature of the water over the basins in the amenities block, unless there is a number of men shaving at the same the water is cold and takes ages for hot water to come through. This leads to a waste of water and frustration at not getting a hot shave.I believe this is an OH&S issue where the council had temperatures lowered so not so clever people could burn themselves. The water in the laundry is hot so there doesn't appear to be any reason why we have to suffer in the shower block. Anyway looking forward already to next years stay.

Dear Joe and Cheryl

Thank you for your review.

We are very pleased that you enjoyed the functions that were put on for all guests. We do try to create a sense of “community” and feel we achieved this as we even got to meet your daughter, son in law and grand children.

I will pass on your lovely feedback to office staff and our “postie” Tennille will be very pleased.

We will certainly look further into the temperature in amenities and laundry blocks.

Look forward to seeing you next year (and maybe you can make some of the sausages you were telling us about!)

Take care.

Kind Regards
