This is an old building and has a simple old world charm. The foyer is pretty and reflects the building's history. Rooms are basic, but clean. There is no a/c but we were able to get nice breezes through the windows, especially in the upstairs room. The downstairs bunk bed room was a bit stuffy. Fans helped.
The main annoying thing was the lack of screens on the window, and so mosquitoes came in at night. We bought a can of flyspray and left the fan running to confuse them a bit.
The bed was small being only a double and more bouncy than we are used to.
The location was good for us as it was a five minute drive to unsw where we had to go each day, close to restaurants and not far from coogee beach, clovelly etc.
