“A taste of childhood.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Remember how good it was to go to the local Chinese restaurant when you were young. It was special, it was exciting and fun and you got to have chicken and sweet corn soup with prawn crackers. I still have this for starters every time I come here and its just as good.

This is my local chinese and I wouldn't go to any others in this area. The owners Simon and Sam are two of the most lovely people you will ever meet. I always bring friends here when they visit from the city, the food is consistently good, and is just what you would expect from a small town Chinese restaurant ...everything you had as a child is on the menu and it doesn't disappoint. The decor is kitch and makes the whole experience even more reminiscent of childhood memories. I really love the whole experience of eating here. Its not fine dining, its an experience with great food. My recommendation for food as well as the soup is the champagne chicken...its really good and comes on one of those sizzling plates...dont you just love those?

This place is nearly always busy, has friendly helpful staff, and cheap lunch time deals.

“Average Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

The food was okay for a small town, nothing to write home about though. The service was pleasent and prompt. Portions are only small so bring your wallet.

“Quick but standard Aussie Chinese”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2012 via mobile

This place has been around for at least 40 years so it must be doing something right. That something is providing your standard Australian Chinese quickly, affordably and child-friendly-ly. The Honey Prawns are good, the Mongolian Lamb, and the Sweet and sour pork. The beer is cold, the restaurant air-conditioned.
