“Famous Flowerpot Scones a must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Biggest best scones I've ever tasted. Crunchiest topping - soft underneath - best of both scone worlds.
We visited here specifically to try the Famous Flowerpot Scones as it had been recommended to us. They did not disappoint. The owner (I presume) was so friendly and shared the 34 year history of the scones which were originally requested and presented as part of a Flower Show. They were so popular that they have continued to this day. Apparently a visitor all the way from Belgium recently visited Melbourne and made a side trip to Leura just to try the scones as they had been so highly recommended.
I loved the friendly old style milk bar ambience - complete with plastic table cloths. I will definitely return for a scone on any return trip to Leura.

“Cozy little cafe for a simple lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

I love this cafe. I have visited twice in the last few months and returned because of the friendly cosy atmosphere, with a feel that is a mix of 1950s milk bar and country kitchen. Both times I had the delicious and filling haloumi & lamb stack, followed by a flowerpot scone with tea. The cafe is always crowded around lunch time and both visits we had to wait 15 minutes for a table. In addition to tourists, the cafe is popular with local families and seems very kid friendly.
