“Just adequate”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

We were a little disappointed with our stay at Leura Gardens Resort. The room was a little tired, the bathroom miniscule and the housekeeping left a bit to be desired. More use of the vacuum, duster and mould destroyer would have worked wonders. We were also disappointed that no meals were provided mid week other than breakfast. No complimentary biscuits to have with our tea in the morning and the snacks were not replaced as they were consumed. It is often the little things that count.

Does having a swimming pool and spa make this motel a 'Resort'? The room was OK (for a motel) but the sound attenuation was poor. Banging doors at night, people walking on the floor above and the sounds of water rushing in taps when people flushed or showered. We had two hours good sleep, but not a night's worth which is what we paid for and what we wanted from this establishment.
The gardens might have been good in their day (some decades ago) but now look very tired and in need of some work if they are part of the Gardens and Resort theme rather than just a hotel with a pretty garden with some flowers.
Next time I'll return to a B&B (which were all booked up for the Leura Garden Festival and I got the last room in town).

I've stayed here twice and both times have been really really happy with my stay. Both times were with a friend and we had particular room needs in terms of accessibility, all of which were met with fantastic service to boot. The rooms are clean and tidy and even their basic rooms have a lovely view over the gardens and are quite roomy. The breakfast was also great. Many hotels in this price point will have toast and cereal and not much else however the Waldorf provides a hot breakfast with bacon, eggs, sausages etc along with fruit and pancakes.

We absolutely loved our stay. The service and room quality were terrific. The room had air conditioning which made the room cosy on a cold day. I suggest dining at the Jasmine Restaurant if staying at this motel. We were fortunate enough be able to travel from Leura to all the local beautiful Blue Mountains areas. very good value and great setting within gardens and Golf Course

We stayed in a family room for 3 nights. The room itself seemed to have been recently refurbished and was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very small and a bit tired but no problems. With a great buffet breakfast included in the price Waldorf Leura is great value money. The kids loved the pancake maker machine!

We were booked in for 2 nights, but left after one. There were serious problems with the room, but having used TripAdvisor to select the "resort" we just felt misled by the reviews.
This is a motel, we stayed on the ground floor, and possibly we were given a poor room because we booked through a third party and paid upfront.
Having said that, the room was very dated and dark. The tiny bathroom was very poorly cleaned, with mould on the ceiling and peeling paint. There were spiders webs and dead moths, which is so easily avoided. Worse though was the self-locking bathroom door that kept trapping us in with no means of escape. Other negatives? Well the safe didn't work, the free wireless didn't work as the signal strength was too weak and if you're on foot it's a long way from the centre of town. But Leura is very quaint and there are some lovely walks around the Blue Mountains.
Look, this place isn't too bad, and had it been clean, I probably wouldn't be writing this. But the reviews had us expecting something great, and I just don't believe this is one of the top places to stay in Leura.
