“Great casual cafe for lunch with locals ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

We happened upon this cafe off the beaten path (behind Leura Mall) and were delighted with lunch there. BLTA with lots of delicious aussie bacon on homemade thick slice of bread with roasted tomato, avo was delicious. Quiche and roasted vegetables ummmm. Home made rhubarb cobbler with thick cream, gluten free. Best cup of coffee (flat white) and Russian Assam tea. So nice to find a place for a good lunchand not a hugely expensive meal altho for us Americans it's all really expensive here in Australia. Hip casual atmosphere. Go there if you're in the blue mtns.

“Nice cosy cafe for brunch or lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2014

Good location with outdoor sitting, staff accommodated our group of 9 people without reservation and provided us with blankets. Nothing special with menu but food is enjoyable, priced from $8.50-$20

“Just employ some experienced staff!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2014

Sunday lunch at Leura...it is not that hard - especially when the Blue Mountains are craving for a return of tourists. Booked a table for 5 and arrived on time at midday. Gave our order by 12:15 pm. At 12:30 Waitress 1 came to apologise that they had run out of the chicken and mushroom pie, so two of us had to change our order, but she did not bother to bring us a menu to chose something else... we just had to remember what was available. Our drinks came a little later. At 1 pm we asked where our meals were (noticing that other customers who had arrived and ordered after us were being served their meals). "They are the next ones out", we were told, by 1:20 pm we had our meals.
The food was very nice.
We thought we should order dessert, given how slow the service was and it was served promptly. However the fig pavlova was substituted for the berry one - without consultation, Waitress 2 actually rolled her eyes when questioned about this - as the item was clearly shown on the blackboard dessert menu (hastily rubbed out then) and my apple scroll was served with a long blonde hair hanging off the plate - which I declined!
To top it off the bathroom was filthy (and used as a storage room for crockery and other cafe accoutrements).
Needless to say we didn't leave a tip - other than this piece of advice... the service was unskilled and hopeless - just employ at least one experienced staff member and train the rest... we won't be back.

“Great menu at Lily's Pad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014

Tucked away down a garden path near Woolies carpark in Leura is Lily's Pad. A great menu and lots of choices for gluten free and vegetarians. Great coffee, fresh juices and very tasty food. And dog-friendly as well! So lovely to see our well-behaved canine friends sitting with their owners in the outdoor dining area. This is not your run of the mill cafe, it's evident that the owners have a passion for food! We will be recommending Lily's Pad to all our hungry guests at Kurrara Guest House. If you enjoy quality food, Lily's Pad will not disappoint!
