Warm, cosy, inviting and intimate - the atmosphere of The Rooster is the first impression then the waiter greets you and you know you are in for a true French gastronomic experience. In fact it's the combination of the only waiter as he expertly shimmies back and forth between all tables and the fine French food that makes this restaurant a memorable dinner. We both devoured the cheese soufflé with tarragon sauce for entree, scouting up the dregs with fresh sourdough, then I are the oxtail cheeks while my partner enjoyed a steaming bowl of cassoulet. All was accompanied with a delightful Merlot. Unfortunately trying to fit in dessert was a dream, we will have to return another time for that. A wonderful dinner, we will be back.
