“Scenic excellence!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2013

What a fantastic way to view the mountains , and the Jamieson Valley! Lovely friendly staff/tour-guides . Amazing views from both cableways , and the 52 degree ssteeeeeeeeep (!) railway was a great experience! Loved the rainforest walks in the valley , and seeing the historic mine and huts , all very interesting and stretching the imagination as to living that life almost 200 years ago...... A must-do!

The rich coal mining history of this site is very interesting and it is easy for you mind to be able to wander back to those times on seeing the displays and information down in the valley. Thank you for visiting and sharing your experience with us.

“Expensive, but we enjoyed the forest walk!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Though expensive, the rides were fun, at least for the kids. We spent four hours there, take all the rides twice, and spending a lot of time on the forest floor. The walk was very pleasant, with ample shade, and lots of informative signs explaining the various plant species and history. I must give credit to the staff too manning the rides... most were very friendly and cheerful, which brightens any one's day. The views were so so, as somehow it is not as breathtaking as expected, and as one reviewer see, you can get equally good views from lookout around Blue Mountain. But the special part was really the rides, and very well designed and structured forest trails. If not for my son getting bothered by flies, we would have spent even longer there, walking all the trails. There were not much food options though, and many stalls were closed, though one café was operating with light snacks and coffee. I would recommend this place still, as you cant do such a informative forest walk anywhere else. I far enjoyed it more than even than the famous lookouts like Govetts Leap, which I didn't really find spectacular. Perhaps I didn't venture for the long walks from the lookout...And if you have kids, go for the rides. Otherwise, do it simply for the walks. The rides, while fun, is not really the ultimate experience given the price. But if you can afford it, why not?

“Great scenery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

Good experience on the 3 different mode of cable ways to explore the area. Spare more time for this area so you can trek and enjoy the nature! I am gladful to the the cable operators who actually extended the operating hours on the rides to cater to the huge crowd! Thank you!

“Expensive and not good value - wish we had not done it”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

In essence you pay a lot of money to go down into the valley and back up again

You can walk around the boardwalk at the bottom and your in the forest but you can't see out

The staff were very friendly though

The views you get from this venue you can get from public viewing points without charge.

In short if you want to walk around the forest on a board walk ( as opposed to public footpaths) or you want to spend a lot of money to go on the train / cable-car / sky train do it

If you are just after great views of the three sisters or the blue mountains then save yourself a load of cash

Thank you for your comments, they are very much appreciated. I apologise if you didn't find our attraction to your liking. The vast majority of our visitors find the Unlimited Discovery Pass to be excellent value for money and appreciate being able to access the walkway in a safe, exciting and unique fashion. I do hope that you enjoyed your visit to the Blue Mountains nonetheless.

“Must try the World's steepest train!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

We experience the steepest train ride (less than 3 minutes ride) in the world. Skyway take about 4 minutes and it can take up to 65persons. Awesome. Don't need to feel panic. It is safe.
All Scenic World team are friendly and helpful.
Love Scenic World.
Must experience all the ride! Skyway, cableway and railway!
